Some players Twitter accounts were really active last night. Especially Rickey Williams. He seemed really excited to get into camp. He feels fresh and ready to go. To see our players tweets look at the left column of the home page. There's a live twitter feed there. It should give us a unique perspective into camp.
Tony Sparano has lost his pot belly. He didn't take any shortcuts like stomach stapling, he did it the hard way. The coach is living by his words and setting a great example.
Pat White missed day one of camp. Hopefully he's just taking care of a pressing personal issues. We all know if that's not the case it's even more likely his days are numbered here.
Chad Henne. No reports of interceptions. His response to a question "which rookie carries your pads?" He said, "Nobody’s carrying my pads. I’ll carry my own." I like to see that from a leader. (The little things matter)
Chad Pennington looked great according to Omar Kelly. I'm happy to see this. I hope this year he continues to work on strengthening that shoulder. Then goes on to finish off his career somewhere on a high note. (as long as that note isn't against the phins) Lucky for us we have a winner at backup.
Tyler Thigpen threw an interception on a deep pass into double coverage according to the PBP. He must learn patience and decision making this TC.
Brandon Marshall beat Sean Smith today. This shouldn't be a surprise. Going up against a physical receiver such as Marshall is one of Smith's weakness. Smith will only get better practicing against him. Apparently there was word on the web that Marshall was trash talking Smith. It must of been scared Jet fans starting rumors. Both deny that ever took place. Smith even stated so on his twitter. Marshall on an interview.
Misi was lined up against Jake Long at some point and got dominated. Misi said he never went up against anyone like that. Rookies practicing against the best will just speed up their learning process.
Omar Kelly had some interesting observations. Saying Ikaika Alama-Francis 6'5" 290 lbs lined up at SOLB on the second team. That's a position change from DE. Also that Taurus Johnson (WR) looked faster than everyone else even Sheets. That must be that "game speed" we've talk about. Because he isn't the fastest. Speaking of Sheets, over the summer his tweets told us he's a party hard guy. Now It also seems like he's a hard working guy. There's nothing wrong with a work hard and play hard mentality.
Finally, Patrick Turner practiced. It was said he wouldn't of been ready for practice after his surgery. Maybe there's a grain of hope left. (I said a grain)
A lot of Camp left. Just some stuff that caught my eye.
