Around SBN: Ohio State And Florida Target 2013 Receiver Recruits

The best of me is yet to be seen. I don't want to just fill a hole. I want to be an impact player. I have so much more to give as a player.

-Ronnie Brown, who says he will be 100% for training camp on Friday.

I recommend checking out the entire piece, as it has some good thoughts from Ronnie about how he feels as we approach training camp.

You know whats scary about Reginald?

(I call him reginald because it sounds cooler) He had 8 TD’s in 9 games, if he would have completed the season hypothetically he would have had at least 15 TD’s. If you factor in the fact that he had a 1st year QB and no #1 WR. This year i think he could break 20 TD’s and he really could be the most efficient back in the league ( He wouldn’t be the leading rusher because of ricky sharing time with him)
Anyway our O-line has gotten younger and bigger I think we will easily have the number 1 rushing attack in the NFL.

I think that distinction will go to the Titans

I actually dont want us to do that. I’d rather have Henne develop which will give us a more balanced attack. Titians dont have a good passing. They will need to run it to win it

I probably know Judo! How many of you can make the same boast?

by Souwantmyname on Jul 28, 2010 12:55 AM EDT up reply actions

actually

they couldn’t win a game running it.
despite cj2k big yardage games, they still lost the first 6. it was only until vince young stepped in, they started winning games

Ronnie...If...If...If...

I like the guy too but he better bring it this year and stay healthy or he is outta here! Because if he gets hurt or has a sub-1,000 yard season, he will be considered an injury prone bust. Either way, we better draft a RB on the first day of the draft next year. It’s frustrating to see all that talent going to waste on the sideline injured. Here’s to ya Ronnie, I hope you can get it together this year!

2009 was like picking up a fat chick, You had a little fun, but you don't necessarily want to see it again.
Also, I am a huge fan of Adrian Zmed! Dance Fever and TJ Hooker rock!

even if he stays healthy he'll be around 30 years old with sizeable injury history

it wouldn’t be wise to resign him IMO

Well tough call if he wants a long term deal then no,but IF Ricky decides to leave or retire

then I say sign Ronnie for 2 years and draft the next big thing and have Ronnie and the new guy split

Always loved Brown and wanted to see him shut up all the doubters

hopefully he can do it this year the line is bigger, better deep and healthy and with Marshall in the mix we wont be facing 8 man fronts

Hey the Jest had had a 12 man front with Phins on their 3 yd line, us in the WC and they STILL could not stop RB !

Just think how stupid the average Jest fan is, and then realize that half of them are even stupider! ( a parody of a George Carlin line)

Thats the thing even when teams stacked the line we still produced

I can only imagine what wonders the R&R can do with the extra space that Brandon will help create

I love Ronnie Brown. The year we drafted him i was so happy. He was the only guy i would have been happy with at that time. Wish he could stay healthy year round because his talent is unbelievable. Looks like this staff likes using multiple backs so hopefully we can resign him for 3-4 yrs at a fair price and find a good young back to share the load with him after ricky’s gone.

by PhinsAllDay on Jul 28, 2010 11:30 AM EDT reply actions

Not going to lie Ronnie was the back I wanted out of the big 3

but then again I wanted us to take Rodgers with our pick

I was and still am for trading him if it was worthwhile

but a confident/healthy Ronnie is a winning Dolphins team. I hope he gives us no reason to want to deal him this season.
