Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm silly in the head for the Miami Dolphins. But, this season was going to different. I was going to take a break from locating me and my Wifey in Florida for the football season. My plans where to hang in Seattle til Mid Oct, fly to Ohio for the Cincy game, then move on to Cali for the winter. I mentioned where,...well all that has changed now.
My job was cut short in Seattle. My renters are moving out, and need to be home to square that situation away, and our California licenses will not be completed for another couple of months. What to do,.....what to do. I know what to do !! You see, I'm an idea guy. I plant a seed in my own head, and that thing grows.....like a weed !
So now I say to my Wifey,..."why don't we just hang at home for a month or so while we get our house together and get some new renters". All the while knowing damn well that in that month I could :
A) Go to a weekend hockey tourney/ campout with my old team ( nothing like drunken hockey players hanging around a campfire acting stupid for 3 days in Northern Michigan)
B) Catch a couple of concerts with a buddy that works in the music business,....for free. Except for the beer, dinner, and misc. ( Kid Rock & Green Day w/ AFI )
C) Celebrate my 45th B-day with family & friends
AND,........wait for it !!!!
D) Take a road-trip to Buffalo for the season opener !!!!!!!!!!!!! All I need to do is to round up someone to go with, I feel that I should leave Wifey at home for this one. Since going to Florida, she would much rather go to home games.
Home games, that brings me to another point. It appears, when given the option, she would rather go to Florida than Texas. Now all this hinges on where we find work, but it seems we've networked pretty well in the last 3 Winters in The Sunshine State. So where I thought I was only going to make one game this year has changed a bit in the last few days !!! I'm not complaining, and nothing is written in stone as of yet. But, if I have my way......I'm going to as many games as I can. Yup,.....things are looking up. We just lost our jobs (temporarily), and I'm going to more Dolphins games !!!!
