I really like our potential at FS but we could use a veteran proven talent to make a run this year. I just don’t think we should go after a guy after his injury when we have some untested guys that can become top level players. The big ? is whether any of them can elevate their games but if we keep gambling on FAs we will never know. I say give Clemons his chance to earn the job and see just how good they can be. I’m really interested to see how Amaya performs. We have too many IFs this year to double down on a veteran safety to win it all this year. We can spend the money and get beat because ouur OLBs don’t step up but IF our current FSs get it done we will be set for at least the next 3 years.

I’m good with Chris. For me, OJ"s age is a double edge sword here. He’s young enough to still be in his prime. But he’s old enough to be a progress stopper after this season. He’s like Ronnie Brown the defensive version IMO.

i like chris clemons as well…..i would love for him to do great……..but then again what if he stinks this year??

if we brought in atogwe, the hope would be that clemons could share some snaps and learn to get better instead of losing his confidence and letting it impede his progress………

i agree with the age thing too…….and i don’t know how short of a deal we could get him to sign………if any of our young guys really step and challenge him we would then be caught between a contract and a hard place with playing time…….so………………eh, we’ll see

as i fan…..i just want to see us win…..however and whoever we need to do it………..

with Chris as well. Hell I want Chris. He has been there and he already has Repore & chemistry with his teammates. & he is young.
