From Green and White to Aqua and Orange, Part 1

As has been publicized, the Jets have some contract issues for 2011. Braylon Edwards, Santonio Holmes, Antonio Cromartie, Nick Mangold, D'Brickashaw Ferguson and David Harris could all be free agents next year (depending on the CBA). Darrelle Revis is not included (he's too valuable to the Jets to let go). How nice would it be to get
a player from the Jets instead of the other way around?

Part 1 will cover the two recieivers. This will be a 3-part installment.

Braylon Edwards, WR

Background: Drafted by Cleveland with the 3rd pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. Came from Michigan. 6'3", 215 lbs. 4.45 40 yard dash.

Reasons to bring him in:

-A tall, athletic receiver who can make the circus catch. He's shown he can be a very good receiver with a big-armed quarterback (see 2007 w/ Cleveland & Derek Anderson).
-A Michigan alum. We've all seen Henne to Hartline (Michigan to Ohio State). Imagine what he could do with a fellow Michigan alum...
-He would regularly face single coverage with Brandon Marshall on the other side.
-He thought Miami would draft him in 05 at number 2 (Ronnie Brown joined the Fins instead). So, it can be inferred that he wants/wanted to play in Miami.

Reasons to avoid him:

-His hands are erratic (he led the NFL in drops in 2008).
-He has a diva personality (This guy is Baby T.O., not B-Marsh)
-He'll be expecting a big contract (along the lines of the B-Marsh contract).

Santonio Holmes, WR

Background: Drafted by Pittsburgh with the 25th pick of the 2006 NFL Draft. 5'11", 192 lbs. 4.45/4.35 40 yd dash time (I'm not sure)

Reasons to bring him in:
-He is a legitimate deep threat (would fill the gap left by the departure of Ted Ginn).
-He can make the circus catch (see Super Bowl 43).
-An Ohio State alum (see Henne-to-Hartline).
-He would regularly face single coverage with Brandon Marshall on the other side.
-While he doesn't do it regularly, he can return punts with some ability.

Reasons to avoid him:

-He has issues with the law (but so does B-Marsh...)
-He'll be looking for a big contract (same as Braylon)

Of the two, which would you rather have in Miami?
