Every year there are teams in the NFL that repeat their post season appearance and every year there are teams who are absent from the year before. On this post I will try and point out three teams that I believe will be much better and make the playoffs. And you guest it, since three new teams are coming in, that means three of the playoff teams have to be taken out. I will give a short reason as to why I like a team and a short reason as to why a team will miss the playoffs, I will not go into details because it will be way to long. If you guys disagree feel free to argue the points and say what teams will make and miss the playoffs. Lets see how this works out.
So without further Ado, I bring to you...
New Playoff Team: Miami Dolphins (crowd goes wild)
*Im putting aside my glory and my orange and aqua pon pons. Im looking at the Dolphins as a regular guy with no love for the team. *
What I see: The Dolphins have a really good established team. They were infected by the injury bug last year and still were only a couple games away from a playoff appearance. They lost two major sack contributors this off season in Porter and Taylor, but I have a feeling they wont be missed very much. Why? Two words: Cameron Wake. The kid is a sack machine, plain and simple. And when he doesn’t get to the Quarterback, he is creating pressure and you best believe his presence will be felt. Another important key to their success is Chad Henne, the sky is the limit for him. With his rocket arm he has enough power to throw to the moon, and now he has an astronaut that can catch anything thrown to him in Brandon Marshall. All around, I see a very talented team moving forward and winning the division.
Team That Misses Playoff: New England Patriots
What I see: They have too much issues to overcome. The injury on Welker will have a major impact on the offense. Moss is getting old, and the defense isn’t that great. And playing in the AFC East doesn’t help their situation either. Miami and New York, are not gonna bow down to Brady and Co., its going to be an action packed year in the AFC East.
New Playoff Team: Atlanta Falcons
What I see: I have major respect for this team. I remember in the 2007 season they were the 31st team in the NFL, with us being 32nd of course. They have come a long way. I salute them with the pick up of Matt Ryan. Matt is their franchise QB and the front office has done their jobs and added some weapons for the kid with Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez. Running game is in good hands with Michael Turner leading the way.
Team That Misses Playoff: Arizona Cardinals
What I see: Arizona lost wayyyyyyy too much talent to repeat a playoff appearance. They lost Kurt Warner, Karlos Dansby, Anquan Boldin, Antrel Rolle and added a cancer in Joey Porter. I just don’t see them making the playoffs again, sorry Arizona fans.
With my final prediction, Im going over the top. Im going to predict something no one will see coming. Am I crazy? Maybe, but this is just for fun. So...
New Playoff Team: Washington Redskins
What I see: Wait what? Can that be right? Washington! Yes, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. I truly believe the Redskins have a good shot at making the playoffs. How can a team that went 4-12 make the playoffs? Well, we were 1-15 the year before we made the playoffs, so anything is possible. I see history repeating itself this season. Very similar to how the Dolphins and Jets history played out in the 2008. Philly traded away Mcnabb to their rival in Washington. Now Mcnabb with fire in his eyes and under a new coach will kick Philly out of the Playoffs, you see the similarity? But of course our history was better, LOL sorry had a Dolphin moment.
Team That Misses Playoff: Philadelphia Eagles
Yup, you guest it. As I said on the above paragraph, Philly’s season will end in the hands of Mcnabb. I don’t agree with the idea of trading away your franchise QB, and letting a back up start. I see no progress from Kevin Kolb this year, and Philly fans will make sure he knows it.
So with that, my post comes to a close. Please leave your thoughts.
P.S. Im not a journalist, just a guy with too much time on his hands LOL
