As we know Allen was our #1 corner last year that went down because of an ACL. ACL's takes two years to "fully" recover from. After 1 year the knee should be serviceable if rehab and everything else that comes with it is going well. (This means what Camarillo did last year was beyond belief) The question is what should we do with Allen? We had two rookie corners that played against the top tier Wide receivers. They both had highs and lows but overall they proved that they are our future. Should Allen come back (most likely being one step slower) and start over one of the two CB's (most likely Davis). Or should we have all three players on the field at the same time? Yes, I'm talking about moving Allen to FS. IMO he's the best FS candidate. He's a veteran that understands coverages. He may of lost a step or two due to the injury, but Free Safety's have to be more smart than fast. Furthermore, we'll have all our best DB's on the field at the same time. Smith, W. Allen, Bell, and Davis looks like a good back field to me. If Allen could make the transition I think he's our best shot of having a shutdown secondary. What do you think?
