Jason Allen the hidden gem at FS lets evaluate. Read all before judging quickly like we all did with Ricky Williams when he returned back to the Dolphins, then overshadowed all judgments’ with back to back successful seasons behind Ronnie Brown lol
Well the last time we played the Broncos, Jason Allen did lock down our own Brandon Marshall (former Bronco, now a DOLPHIN yay!!!). As I recall in 2008-09 season, Jason Allen in that Bronco game had a INT and 2tackles and held Brandon Marshall to just two catches. Need I remind you that Greg Camarillo was the highlight receiver in that game with 111 yards. Brandon did have a 77yard TD rec but it got negated because he pushed Jason Allen who was going to intercept Jay Cutlers pass running toe for toe with Brandon. He's physical and aware of the ball; he would be a good FS alongside Bell who is now starting to intercept some balls as well. With our massive depth and speed at the line with covering/pass rushing LB's, Jason Allen is the best fit with his speed, aggressiveness and eye for the ball which will help him intercept more balls than 3 in which he did in our horrible 2007-08 season when we went 1-16 :(. HE WILL BE 10 TIMES BETTER THAN GIBRIL WILSON WAS, I CAN SAY THAT MUCH.
To note, when we had Renaldo Hill and Andre Goodman in the 2007-08 season they didn’t fair to good and Jason Allen stood out with three interceptions to lead the team. Our team was not good at the time when Jason Allen stepped in a Dolphin uniform, we didn’t have a strong front line, now we do, imagine how much of an impact would that be for him with a strong cast on the field with him now. Look at what it did for Renaldo Hill, Andre Goodman, and Nate Jones, it made them better because they are nowhere near a Champ Bailey or Darren Sharper prototype.
Look how Tyrone Culver, Chris Clemons, and Gibril Wilson faired with a strong supporting cast featuring Yeremiah Bell, Sean Smith, Vontae Davis, Will Allen, Joey Porter, Jason Taylor, Nate Jones, Randy Starks, Jason Ferguson, Channing Crowder and Cam Wake, just to name a few, and they didn’t make any highlights except Culver with the pic in the Saints game.
Let the man play with this upcoming 2010 group at the FS position, then we wont have to cut him after the season waisting money and see him shine for someone else winning a Super Bowl (ummm Sam Madison with the Giants, um yeah) give Jason a try and don’t rule him out cuz Reshad Jones and Culver are former SS who may replace Bell next year. And Chris Clemons is a SS but has great potential because of his speed to play the free safety position who is someone I wouldn’t rule out and was happy the Dolphins drafted him last year.
Jason Allen, maybe yes, maybe no, u decide
