Out on the Town: Met James Farrior from Pittsburgh

I know that this doesn't seem as much news but this is a very cool story that happened this past weekend.  So me and my boys were out on the town, and we get to this club.  As we were waiting outside, about 6 people arrive and I overheard them say, "We are with the Farrior group."  Instantly I knew what that meant because James Farrior was from the Richmond area, to be specific a little school called Matoaca High School.  I watched Farrior at UVA when we did the impossible, and beat Florida State in '95.  So back to my orginal idea of this post.  I see James in the club chillin' out with a Bud Light in hand just hangin' out having fun.  Big Ben needs to learn from this guy.

I walked up and asked him, "Hey James, why'd you let Ike Taylor knock Pat White out the game last year?"  He started laughing his butt off and he said, "Man, it would've been me if Ike didn't."  We continued to talk football for about 20 minutes.  We talked about his buddies Willie Parker,  Heath Miller, his foundation, OTA's and what not.  The thing that made the night is that he said, "I've always been a Dolphins Fan!" (because I was wearing my Dolphins hat on this particular evening) I said back to him, "Well we need help at OLB in Miami, maybe will see you there."  He laughed some more, we wished him good luck this season, shook hands, and took off for the night.

I'm sure these guys get people in their face all the time, but James Farrior is a class act.  I may go over to the Pittsburgh site and make a similar post but I figured I'd let my fellow Phinsiders know first.  Doesn't have much to do with the Dolphins, but this was a very very cool night out.
