NFL Draft 2010: Round Two Open Thread

I hope you're all ready for some more excitement, folks. I think we're in store for a fun evening.

Round two will begin at 6 pm eastern. Use this thread to discuss it.

Just like yesterday, I will make separate posts for each pick the Dolphins make as well as for any trades the Dolphins make (if they make any at all).

This thread is open for business...

[Yes, I'm aware of the unsubstantiated rumor that the Dolphins have traded for DE/OLB Cliff Avril. But let's wait until we hear something official. And now Universal Draft is reporting that the trade is in the works but not completed.]

i guess

i like Allen more, though

from the limited video i’ve seen of both, i think Allen looks more instinctive. He’s just involved in the action more.

alright, i'll hope for Allen too

but that’s too many Allen’s in the secondary!

i'm not a fan of trading down again

we need to collect impact players. And we already have enough picks. Remember, only keep 61 players (53 man roster and 8 man practice squad). Don’t need to acquire more picks.

Stay at 40 and take an impact guy.

i’d be fine with him…he playedat like 60% last year and was solid. Now he’s healthy and ready to go.

FS in 2nd, OLB in 3rd

I’m hoping for Allen/Burnett in 2nd, and Misi/Sapp/Worilds in the 3rd.

Torell Troup...isn't very good...not too big on that pick from Buffalo

It looks like many NFL evaluators agree with me on Clausen, though…he may be ready to start, but he just isn’t very good…

Chris Coghlan is NLRoY 2009 (that's a +1 for me!)
Can't wait for JJ or Nolly to win NL Cy Young 2010!

now thats two on d

This team looks alot better suited for a 4-4-3 hybrid perhaps even 2-6 like NE runs. But honestly,i thought we had 2 round threes,do we?

ronnie would have had to already signed his tender which he won’t because he knows he will likely be traded if he does

no jersey

do 2nd round picks now get helmets instead of a jersey when they get on the stage at the draft?

by bbickley on Apr 23, 2010 7:02 PM EDT reply actions

why does miami take so long with stuff like that?

other teams have the jersey for sale the day after the player signs?

Misi

Misi is going to make the transition from defensive end to outside linebacker, but we believe it will be a smooth transition. He has experience rushing the quarterback out of a 2-point stance and we had many chances to see him move in space at the Senior Bowl, where he had a strong week. Although he doesn?t have elite measurables, he is tough enough to set the edge against the run and he is a dynamic pass-rusher.
