Dallas covets Dez Bryant or Earl Thomas at #12

Lombardi rumor that they are shopping Marcus Spears, Bobby Carpenter, and Pat Watkins and separately Martellus Bennett has been in trade rumors as well.

My question for the board is:

Would you be willing to trade down for Dallas players if no picks were added? It is highly likely that Jerry Jones would not want to part with picks and would try to trade Parcells players instead.

Say Jerry Jones offers Parcells a swap of #27 for #12 for

Spears 6-4 315 (convert to NT),

Carpenter 6-2 250 (convert to SOLB),

Watkins 6-5 215 (candidate for starting FS or backup SS),

AND Bennett 6-6 265 (TE).

I am in no way claiming that those areas of need (NT, SOLB, FS) would be filled and require no addressing with picks, but the draft is highly unpredictable, and so it is wise to plug your needs with veteran stop-gaps in case the guy you are targeting in the draft is not there. (Except apparently if your name is Jason Taylor or Darren Sharper.)

What if Dallas offered a 2010 3rd rounder and a 2011 2nd rounder? Would that be enough?

Please vote in the poll and leave your comments!

Would you rather stay put at #12 if you couldn't pick up a 2010 2nd rounder?
