Dolphin Mock Drafts Around the 'Net, 4/2 Edition

It's getting closer. We're now less than three weeks away from the 2010 NFL Draft. And that means we're now very much in the heart of the "misinformation" season. The media, of course, helps fuel all of the smokescreens. And we all know that these mock drafts below really don't mean much of anything in the grand scheme of things.
Still, it's always interesting to see how these mocks change over time. And with some of the biggest Pro Days of the year now behind us, let's see how things have changed over the past seven days as we focus in on 45 different mock drafts below.

It seems like Brandon Graham is picking up steam right now. He's being mentioned in more mocks than ever as the 12th overall pick. And one of the top "draft insiders" in the business - Al Fronczak - not only has Graham as Miami's pick but also adds the following:
The Dolphins filled one of their needs on the defensive side of the ball with the signing of LB Karlos Dansby and now add Brandon Graham, who I've heard, is very high on Bill Parcell's wish list...Graham will bring some heat off the ege as a standup llinebacker in the Dolphins 3-4 scheme. *Note - The Dolphins would like to move down a few spots and still take Graham, but the possibility exists that he won't be on the board if they move too far.
Al is as tuned into the draft's whispers as anyone out there so I find it interesting that he is hearing Parcells is very high on Graham despite his lack of prototypical height.
Meanwhile, Robert Davis of Football's Future is hearing other things, writing that "there may not be a player the Phins want more to be available at this spot" than Dez Bryant. Of course, this was written on Tuesday - the day of Bryant's Pro Day. I just wonder if Davis wrote this before or after the workout.
Expect lots of twists and turns between now and the draft that is now less than three weeks away.

Whoever had Demaryius Thomas as our first rounder
should have their website shut down. That’s embarrassing.

Lions taking OT is very possible
They spent big money on Stafford last year and now they need to protect him. I have seen several mocks with them taking Williams or Okung.
Draft Earl Thomas Bandwagon!
I'd take Okung every day of the week over Williams

He might end up being the best WR in this draft class....maybe.
As Matty would say, “just sayin’”
doubtful
He’s got a looong uphill battle to even get on the field. They guy ran less routes in college than Ginn.

Doesn't mean he can't!
He’s a total beast, unlike Ginn in every way except for the FAST way.
never said he can't
but I doubt that he will

dan williams
i was really pro dan williams with the first round pick, but I think I’m more interested in getting an OLB now. williams doesn’t really stand out and I have faith in the front office that they can find a NT later in the draft.

i think these are the best options:
1. Dez Bryant
2. Jerry Hughes
3. Cam Thomas
or:
1. Brandon Graham
2. Nate Allen
3. Torell Troup
or:
1. Earl Thomas
2. Brandon LaFell
3. Thaddeus Gibson
this ^
"My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die."
Jerry Hughes in the 1st
Nate Allen in the 2nd (Cant have enough Allens on the secondary)
Jimmy Graham in the 3rd
nah here it is....
1=Dez Bryant
2=Ricky Sapp
3=Cam Thomas
hate to disagree...but
My perfect draft would go:
1. Dan Williams
2. Arrelious Benn
3. Major Wright

There's just no way Dan comes here
I don’t know why so many sites still have him there.
I’m expecting us to pick one of the three: Bryant, Graham, or Thomas—in no particular order.

1c. C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson/1d. Dan Williams, NT, Tennessee

Why is Earl Thomas not even mentioned???

Im on the Graham bandwagon!!! That is 4!!
He may be short in height but he as an arsenal of moves to beat O-linemen that is above and beyond all else in this draft. He is the sleeper that no one wanted to mention until lately.
I believe right after the senior bowl I was talking about how much I liked this Kid and alot of you on here laughed at me. Now people seem to be coming around. HATERS!!! (lol)
I believe this kid has alot of the same values as our own ZT. Things that you can’t teach and the chip on his shoulder to prove to evryone size doesn’t always matter. As I said I really like this kid, but I’m not sure I want to say he’s #12 material. I think you could definately trade down some and pick him up. During the draft though you never know who’s going to take who. At any given time your man could be gone. We fell into this last year taking numbnuts White in the second. I believe they thought the Patsies wanted him and to use him against us and we took him to prevent that from happening. IMO>>

heres the thing sure graham is a good player
but if you jumped on during senior bowl your going to be disappointed.
because he looked great at the senior bowl…against selvish capers, ciron black, ed wang, etc
all those guys were right tackles playing left and there only average right tackles at best
Finest Hour
I leaning towards moving back...
And still picking up earl thomas or graham. Still on the Thomas bandwagon but graham is a beast too.
If I'm a chicken, you're a turkey....

Dan Williams??
It surprises me to see so many people saying that the Dolphins would select Dan Williams at #12. His selection would violate one of Parcells’ key principles with regards to the draft: never select a one year wonder.
Williams is the definition of this. He had 3 mediocre seasons before coming on his senior year, when Monte Kiffin became the defensive coordinator at Tennessee. Add on to that the fact that he has never played a 3-4, and you have someone who probably will not be the Dolphins pick.
Considering that this a deep draft for d-linemen, expect us to address the NT need at round 3 or lower. There’s some excellent value to be had at that level. If all does not go well, I think that Sparano is ready to go with Soliai as the starter for the meantime. Not an ideal situation, but Rome wasn’t built in one day.
I expect that we will draft OLB with that first pick. My money’s on Kindle being the pick. We have too much of a need at that position, and we have yet to even address it in free agency. In fact, we will likely use two picks on LB’s overall.
I think this is a perfect explanation
I’d go so far as to say that we draft two LB’s in the first two rounds if we don’t re-sign JT
It's 2010 - do the smart thing. Draft Myron Rolle.
Campaigning for the drafting of Mike Williams, WR, Syracuse. He's got more upside than Wilfork has backside.

If I had to choose a LB, I don’t know that I’d choose Kindle.

Not Dan Williams
Last week I spoke with Gil Brandt on Sirius Satellite Radio and he said the Dolphins will not draft him with the first pick. He said he knows who the Dolphins want but he did not reveal the name. I still believe that we are going to trade down. We have so many needs. I believe we will either take Earl Thomas or OLB with our first pick of the draft. There are a lot of NT’s that we can get later in the draft. I also believe that we will take a TE more than a WR. We need a reliable target for Henne to throw in critical situations.
Draft Day Deals
I personally would love to see us trade a couple of guys on draft day that are expendable for one reason or another. In perhaps the deepest draft ever I believe we could really strike gold with some extra mid-round picks. We’ve already seen the Phin’s are shopping our LG, I believe we should shop Ted Ginn as well, he might have some value for someone out there. The biggest trade we should try to make however is to move Ronnie Brown, perhaps for a second rounder. I like Ronnie, but I believe he’s the perfect example of a player you move out while you can still get some value for him, much the way NE has operated for years. They continually trade veterans that still have some value and stockpile picks. It keeps their roster young, hungry, and talented. Think of the Richard Seymore deal last year. Ronnie will be 29 this year, has only played 16 games once in 5 years and has had 2 very serious injuries in the last 3 years. Let’s not get sentimental, this is the perfect time to move Ronnie. With the extra picks I just outlined I believe we could really stock up with some young talent to help take this franchise to the next level. Let’s face it, we havn’t won anything with the aforementioned player’s so let’s be bold , shake things up and make some of these type moves.
