who exactly, is moving to NT?

wenever i see the word “mock” i think of “mayock.” yeah i dont kno who wud move to NT, maybe langford? just a thought

there is no way starks can play NT, he is a true DE
so i guess soliai or mcdaniel, who already play the position

You gotta love a mock with the headline “Mock draft 2.0: Berry’s versatility has safety moving up the boards” for a mock that has Berry at #7 when every other mock I’ve seen (that wasn’t out and out comedy) had Berry going no lower than #6 to Seattle and many had him in the top 4.

While I like Odrick, I can’t help but laugh at the reasoning for the pick. To quote:

Odrick can play anywhere up front and they could slide someone else to the nose and play him at the five technique

Now I have to ask if Odrick can play anywhere up front, why are we moving someone else to NT instead of the reportedly Uber-versatile Odrick? We already have two quality DEs (Arguably our most set position) and we’re gonna move one of them to NT so a rookie DE might become a big star and be everything we already have at that position. Point blank, if we have as many holes as we do (NT being a big one) why would we draft at a position that is already set to gamble on some risky realignment that might leave us worse off at 2 positions (NT & DE) instead of just the 1 (NT-Soliai as starter)?

I will admit that Odrick will be the best 3-4 DE available to anyone not drafting in the top 4 picks but we have much bigger concerns. I think most analysts would slate us to take a pass-rushing DE/OLB or a NT in Round 1 and this nut job comes up with Miami’s version of musical chairs for D linemen.

Were not taking Odrick.. i am willing to put money on this. Odrick is a nice player. He plays mean and has a nice motor but 12 is just too high for him when others are still available. Here is my short list of guys we should be lookin at: Spiller, Benn, Pierre-Paul, Earl Thomas and Derrick Morgan
