There goes another saftey

Browns did not cut S Brodney Pool; they did not tender him a contract, making him free to sign anywhere without compensation. good news for dolphin fans right? wrong Jets are scheduled Wednesday to visit with Cleveland free-agent S Brodney Pool. last thing i want is the jets to sign him if his concussion situation is cleared up then he would be a steal in free agency. Man we couldve signed him to a low risk high reward contract

Yeah. It’s getting down to some pretty slim pickins. Atogwe may have been the best option all along, but he is now the only option left besides Sharper, Clemons/Culver, or high end rookie (Berry or Thomas). I don’t like this one bit.

Who cares?!?!?!

He isnt over his concussion issues, he might not be seeing tweety from his last but once you haveone or more you asre that more likely to have again

i do

i would like to see us pick up a safety in FA to help with the development of Clemons, rather than use a high draft pick on one.

as long as we don’t pay him a huge signing bonus, he would be a good pickup.

Agreed...

To me, Sharper would be the perfect fit. He can help develop Clemons and be a playmaker in the secondary. He should come with a decent price tag.

I'm starting to like the idea of Sharper

I think having 2 vets like him and Bell on the back end of our secondary can really help our CB’s develop, as well as Clemons. I would love to get a young guy back there that can start right away, but that’s not always an option all over the field (why I want JT back so we can draft a conversion 3-4 SOLB and not force them into full-time action). Clemons, by most accounts, is not quite ready to start and be successful, but I think he does have a chance to be a starter in the near future. Sharper is one of the smartest players in the league and can really “quarterback” a secondary and a defense, as well as lead by example for our young guys that we are all hoping pan out..

Agree

And if we pick up a FS in the draft Sharper Can help him develop. As Clemons played
SS at Clemson. Then we could have 2 young safeties when there ready.

Clemons was the FS at Clemson

Hamlin was the SS. No matter, though, Clemons is a FS with us.

who ever we sign or draft let's hope that they make the probowl at the end of the year!

do you think BP. has let nolen see any film of Clemons from last year’s ota’s, also others, uno just to see what he has on his def. He is the teacher althoe he wont have someone like the vet. that they aquired from philly. last year

i say put him as our SS wants Bell re+ireS

he doesnt get where the QB is going but he has all the Measurables to succeed. Then get Robert Johnson in the 4th and bam problem solved for both positions. And sign Darren Sharper

yep, sharper would be good too

we don’t need to be looking for a high priced, long term contract guy – IMO

No concussion clears up

Albiet, a mild one might not affect one in the long term, 5 will.
He shouldn’t be playing anymore.

probably true, but if he is medically cleared, it his choice, right?

I think if he hits #5 though, he won’t be able to pass a medical.
