Steals in the draft- Offense
Just some players I like who I think the Dolphins could get in later rounds for a good deal.
Mike Szczur- RB/KR/WR Mike Szczur Vs. Montana in Champ. Game
Mike is from the Villanova Wildcats and is a multi-threat to the other team. He has great speed, agility, great route running, and can catch. Reminds me somewhat of Wes Welker, since he has great speed and can run after the catch, but can also help in the wildcat.
Dennis Pitta- TE Mike Pitta Highlights
Dennis has the probably the best hands in the draft for a tight end. he goes for the ball, doesn't give up on the play, and isn't afraid o lower his shoulder and knock someone over. Has some pretty good speed for someone his size and looks like a mismatch for defenses and a 3rd down threat that can move the chains.
LeGarrette Blount- RB LeGarrette Blount Highlights
LeGarrette is a power back and flat out run. Has good ball carrier vision and once he sees he gap, he shoots right for it. Now since we have such a strict group of coaches and Bill Parcells, I think they will keep him in check and teach him some work ethic and discipline.
Who do you guys think we can steal later in the draft for offense?

I want Blount. We need the “2” in the 1-2 punch that is now almost a requirement in today’s NFL and Ricky only has 1 year left in him, IMO. Everyone is talking about Ronnie’s days as a Dolphin being numbered. I don’t want to see that happen and still think we should extend him 4 years so he can retire a Phin. But Blount would be a great compliment to Ronnie if he stays or may serve as a #1 back if Ronnie gets hurt (something I don’t think Hilliard or Cobbs could do).
Why?
Lex and Cobbs are good, but not great. Sheets is an unknown. And Ricky is almost done. If Blount is there in the 5th round, we should definitely draft him, IMO.
Are we really counting on Kory Sheets and Tristan Davis now as RB options?
Ricky is retiring.. 2 of those guys probably won’t make the team (Sheets/Davis). The other 2 are backups (Cobbs/Hilliard). Once Ronnie is gone (most likely after this season, unless we trade him this offseason), we have NO starting caliber RB’s. Ronnie won’t be signed long-term.

I think Ronnie will be resigned....
just not to a real long deal. 3 years proabably, 4 years tops, definitely not a 5 year deal. This team needs him.
3 years is too much
He’ll be 29, has never reached elite status, has an injury history, and has never been a workhorse back. You don’t re-sign that guy. There’s a reason guys like Tomlinson and Edge James get cut right around 30 years old.. they are usually finished. If we don’t trade him, I think it’s a missed opportunity, because I don’t see him being signed for more than a 1 year deal..
And I disagree that we need him. We can find plenty of RB’s to mirror his production, and I think we can find a 1-2 punch that can carry the load much more effectively.

Blount could be a starter in this league
He was a top Running back a 1-2 round pick in pre-season. He punched a dude… ok not cool, but he practiced with the team stayed and shape and has since apologized for his out burst. He still has all the talent and less mileage on his legs… there is no way he should drop to the 4-6 round but thats what the “experts say” and I hope he does. If I were a GM I would draft him in 3-4 area to secure him. If the Dolphins didn’t have all their needs I would pick him in early, but it does not help the Fins win sooner than later.
Founder of the unofficial Draft Dexter McCluster band wagon!
The Patriots Suck
He Punched A Player. Correct. THEN HE WENT AFTER SOME FANS IN THE STANDS
Not the player you want on your team. I wouldn’t waste a 3rd-5th round pick on the guy. 6th or a 7th maybe.
Big deal.
He made a mistake in the heat of the moment. If anything, it shows how passionate he is about winning. I’d rather have a tough guy like this than 10 Ted Ginn’s.
One Mistake. It's the follow up that sealed it.
By the way tough guys leave it on the field. You don’t take it to the stands. I’ll bet there are other issues we don’t know about.
OR (stay with me here)...
it shows how FRIGGIN PSYCHOTIC HE IS!!!
=)

where you could dump his ass and not have it hit you in the cap later on.

Not About Miami WZB
It’s about looking at Kids outside of Florida. To often people assume that because a kid comes from a school not as well known as the U the competition is poor. By the way the U has a great history of Football. Funny thing is when people tend to forget that Dennis Erickson Played and Coached at Montana State.

This is true. Just look at the top 100 every year. Need more proof?
Just look at the NFL and how many of those kids are from FL? Sure Cali gets its fair share as do places like Texas but none come close to the state of Florida.

And now that I think about it I dont think Cali beats Texas either.
In Florida and Texas football is damn near religion. There are several sports that seem more popular to the California kids. Theres nothing wrong with that but dems the facts!

It's all a cycle my friend.
By the way some parts of cali it is a religion. I do understand the facts. It just gets old hereing how poor teams are. Just because they don’t play in the ACC or SEC. Even when there are more kids on Miami’s roster from Hawaii Then there is from the U. Hell Lex is even from the Univ of Montana. Title IX has taken a bite out of a lot Univ. in Cali. 2 years ago It was California. Before that it was Texas. It’s a cycle.

Steals of the Draft - Defense
Here is a guy that we might be able to snag late in the draft for OLB. He has all the right measureables and really plays with aggression.
Cameron Sheffield
Height: 6-3 | Weight: 256 | Position:DE | College: Troy
Sheffield has 62 tackles, 101/2 for loss and seven sacks on the season.
Downside is that he sometimes gets overly aggressive and tries to take shortcuts to the QB.

Here he is sacking the QB right at the snap

i like ur 3 players henne, i think all 3 would look good in miami. im high on pitta i think some dont realize how bad we need a good pass catching TE, i also like hernadez and graham. one of these 3 is a must, with a no. 1 WR no reason why we couldnt put up 30 points on a regular basis. blount is just like ronnie but looks faster. ronnie is awsome but cant count on him to go the distance. c zer just give him the ball and block for him and let him go. thanks for the clip never heard of him he looks good.
Are you really Chad Henne?

Pitta’s one of my favorite players in the draft. He’s the best TE, and I’d take him over any offensive player not named D. Bryant or C. Spiller. This is with the understanding we don’t need a QB or starter help on the O-line. He’s a stud, and he may fall to the 4th.
We wake & blunder on, / wiser, on the whole, / but not more accurate.
