Boldin to Baltimore - Done Deal
Well, there goes one receiving option.
According to Aaron Schefter via Twitter:
Ravens acquired WR Anquan Boldin and a 2010 fifth-round pick from the Cardinals in exchange for third- and fourth-round picks in this year's draft.
Well, there goes the cheapest #1 WR on the market!
And with Marshall looking like he will be headed to Seattle, who's left?
Damn! That sucks. Anyone else disappointed, or is it just me?

Yeah I don't care.
Obviously if the triad wanted him they could have had him by just giving a 2nd – If he’s not worth that much to them then they have other plans at WR.

yeah, i know
but for a 3rd? and maybe something else…? i was hoping we would go ahead and get it done

They gave up a 3rd, a 4th, and 28 million. Too steep for the Triad.

WHAT? Are you kidding? Yea, that’s a bit steep…. Just out of curiousity, lets keep our eyes on the IR list next year for him…..

The Pats have about 8 2nd round picks and they didn't want him either.

The Pat’s are smart…. They have a ton of second rounders… What was Brady…. a 7th rounder?

We will be fine....
I don’t think Boldin was the answer nor do I think Bryant is the answer….. I say we go for a 2nd or 3rd ranked receiver….. There’s too much hype around Bryant….. I have faith in our front office. Be patient my brothers.
as I have continued to say
our #1, if not already on team, will be choosen in next years draft

Good thought….. Bess and Hartline are good….. I’ve grown to like them….. Ginn is iffy in my book… he had some great run backs, but we need that deep threat…. who’s coming up in class next year?

Dansby
I’ve been racking my brain all day over this Dansby stuff… I think he is key. If we can lock him in, we don’t need to go after a LB at the 12 spot. I think that gives us a good receiver in that spot, but then again, I haven’t kept up with the NT spot in this class… is there anyone we should take over a receiver in the 12?
we keeping saying the same thing—-next year—we need a receiver this year—and he his on the market—-marshall
thats a child's mentality
have to have everything NOW…. next year… live with it

I had the same thought… NOW! ( I was born a Dolphin fan… it’s in my blood). I’ve been thinking “next year” since Marino retired (the begining of our climb)….. but being too haisty on the first day of F.A. could cause us more problems this year…. We have a great Front Office….. Patience.

how many more times will we say next year—how long must we be patient while the elite teams keep improving—sooner or later next year must become this year
It could be this year… Notice there are patterns in football… remember when the Pats were the “punks” of the AFC East? Then came Bledsoe…. Brady…. They had to build a team…. We are doing the same. We have Henne now (maybe Chad P. as a back up)….. I’d rather have 4 very good “go to” guys than one big swollen head " T.O." for example…. Who knows… Bess may turn in to a number one.

What about Heartline? Lots of upside there IMO.

Currently one of three pilots for the new and improved SpillWagon fleet of Chinook’s.
I haven’t forgotten about Hartline…. Great first season if you ask me….. I was being conservative on him and boasting for Bess (more eyes on him), BUT!!!!!! Watch out for that Henne – Hartline combo this year….. (Taking a sip of my beer…… ) Yea….. like the old Marino to Dupper days.

you are right…..but we have been a mid range level team far to long…its time to take it to the next level
True…. It’s like being a “C” student in honors class…. I hate being in the middle… backing in to play off spots….. needing help… the last game of the year means everything….. but that’s what makes us great fans! We wait…. we keep rooting… we stay online on a Friday Night posting to a fan page….. Because we are loyal. In turn…. Our fins, will make the best choices and get us back in that AFC race….. Like I said… Dansby is the biggest piece.

Amen! Thick and Thin….. There’s one thing for sure…. We had an up and down season last year (hardest schedule in the league)… now we play chess…. build our “D” up a bit more…. sure up another good (trainable / potentionally great) receiver and rip apart the AFC East ( For starters).

the reason why we are so middle of the pact is because of all those years where we got band-aids to fix our problems and had just terrible drafts.
I still feel we are two good drafts away from being a Super Bowl contender with hopes of that window being open for 4-6 years. If we got a WR now we would stay in that middle of the pact … we are not one player away like you may think
you are right…a horrible front office have us in the position we are in now….but its time we bring some household names to Miami
that is what the draft is for IMO. We will get those pieces in the next year or two .. the problem was that our team was sooo bad that we had to start over in EVERY position starting with the non sexy O and D lines. Now with those spots starting to come around we can get the playmakers in upcoming drafts
I agree with your comment. A lot of other teams are making a lot of noise today and not a thing all day from Miami. Is Dansby even in Miami any more? 5 hours ago Omar Kelly said a deal was being made. What happened

I think a deal is place with Dansby…..I think that he may be trying to get Rolle to join him then they make a joint announcement
Well I hope to wake up in the morning and hear some great news.
by SEN on Mar 5, 2010 7:42 PM EST up reply actions
It’s like watching the news… the quieter the neighbor hood the better, it never makes news until something happens…. If he was out of South Beach… we would have known.
Now, About Rolle… if the saying goes right, “birds of a feather flock together.” Rolle would follow Dansby simply for the shot of another run at the ring….
