Arizona to try to keep Dansby
Just saw a tweet from Jason La Confora saying Arizona is going to try to make a strong push to keep Dansby. this is an unforseen complication for the dolphins. AZ could be our toughest competition. No doubt he has a lot of friends there. im starting to doube whether this will happen or not. should be an interesting day today.
said the story would be coming up on nfl.com and on nfl network.

If I had to guess at this...
Arizona has a lot of big contracts to potentially write up this year and that makes it dubious that they can keep Dansby too. However it could be:
Dansby’s agents putting material like this out in hopes of driving up their clients value. Percently understandable in today’s NFL..
and/or
The Arizona FO not wanting to look as if they are willing to let their top players walk away. In the past the cardinals have always been a very cheap team and unwilling to pay to keep their best talent. That’s changed somewhat with their new regime, but the reputation is still there.
Arizona won't make a strong push
The Cards are known for letting talent go once it gets too expensive (if they did a better job of trading away talent people would compare them to the Marlins) and they haven’t said anything about keeping Dansby until now.
Arizona has too many guys due for big paydays to keep them all and Dansby will be the most expensive. If they let him go it free up money to keep Antrel Rolle and sign up everybody else, but they’d be better off locking up Dansby and letting go of Rolle. Still, nobody said they were that smart. This reeks of marketing to drive up the price and nothing more.
NY Jets = NFL's Chicago Cubs
There's a fine line between hopeful and desperate. Just look @ Jets fans.
Whether we get him or not, I'm proud that our FO is making a push!
It’s nice to see them trying to make something like this happen! If this doesn’t go through, I hope they make the push to get Brandon Marshall! He’s 25 and would solidify our #1 receiver spot for 6 to 10 years!
