I would take him...he was released for salary cap reasons

He definitely is NOT the future, but for right now…
An expensive STOP GAP is better than NO GAP in the TWO GAP
If Fergy can’t recover, we have NOBODY and a rookie might need a season or two to get adjusted,
especially a convert from a 4-3 defense.
Draft a NT, use Fergy/Williams until they are ready.
I’m for signing Williams, provided he passes a physical.
