Why does everyone assume Nose Tackle is a priority for us? People have been going on about how we should pick a NT early in the draft. But Why? We were great against the run and when we gave up rushing yards it was mostly because Akin Ayodele and Gibril Wilson couldn't tackle. But now not only do we have DC Mike Nolan (who might just make us one of the top defences in the league) we now also have Karlos dansby. The problem with our defense last year was that we couldn't get consistent pressure on the QB and we gave up big plays in the passing game. Doesn't that clearly indicate we need to be looking at FS and OLB in the draft.

I understand we all want our version of Jay Ratliff, but is a NT really going to make a big enough impact on our defense?

Besides Paul Soliai played well for us last season, he's 6-4 355lbs only 26 years old and with time he will get better.

So what do you think, is NT really the issue on our defence?
