According to Mike Lombardi from the NFL Network, the Cardinals asking price for Boldin is a 3rd Rounder. I know the guy is going to be 30 in October but I mean for a 3rd rounder, how do we not do this. Or atleast try and trade some players like Thigpen and Pat Turner. I'm sure we can definitely work something out with this team and then pay Boldin 5 million for 4 years. The only problem I have with this is that he does get injured like we all know and this is a very deep draft.
If you asked me what would I rather give up, a 1st for Brandon at 25 or a 3rd for Boldin at 29, I honestly think i'd rather go after Brandon Marshall. It will be interesting to see what this front office does but I will be very upset if we didnt atleast attempt a transaction for one of these players. I think Brandon, having 3 100 catch seasons in a row is an absolute freak and I can't think of anyone in the league besides Wes Welker who has done that the past three season, or heck for any period throughout their career that is still in the NFL right now. This guy is 25! Dennis Pitta, the BYU TE is 24 and is going to be a rookie. Like I said, I just hope the Trifecta know what they are doing because this type of talent and production comes around once ever 4 to 5 drafts and we can lock him down on a young team and build something special for a long time.
