The schedule for next year is not out yet, but the league has announced who each team will play at home and on the road. Here is a schedule that I came up with. I think it allows for a better start than the Dolphins have had the last couple of years. It features a Monday Night game with the Jets and 2 holiday games. What would you do with the schedule for next season based on what we know so far?

week 1 Sept 12 home vs Buffalo get 1st win fast

week 2 Sept 19 home vs Cleveland 2-0

week 3 Sept 26 @ Patriots before winter weather

week 4 Oct 3 @ Raiders get a win even with let down after Pats

week 5 Oct 11 Mon. nite home vs N.Y. extra day off after west coast trip

week 6 Oct 17 @ Ravens tuff game after short week

week 7 Oct 24 home vs Chicago

week 8 Oct 31 Bye not too early or late

week 9 Nov 7 home vs Pittsburgh rested for physical game

week 10 Nov 14 @ Buffalo

week 11 Nov 21 home vs Tennessee

week 12 Thanksgiving nite, @ Minnesota Eat drink watch Fins

week 13 Dec 5 home vs New England

week 14 Dec12 @ Bengals

week 15 Dec 19 @ Packers

week 16 Sat. Xmas nite, home vs Detroit

week 17 Jan 1 @ Jets Win Division on the road.

well the jets have the night thanksgiving game

so that rules that out

and the Marlins are home the weekend of week 2 so the Fins will likely be on the road in week 2

plus, the NFL typicall tries to prevent two home or two away games to start a season...

Not always, but most of the time. It prevents a team from getting an early season advantage/disadvanatge, and it helps with attendance. If your home opener is in week 3, and you are already an 0-2 team, that’s a big difference than being a 0-0 or 0-1 team.

but we’ve started out 0-2 for the past three years. Why not try something new? I’d rather be 0-2 heading into home, than 0-2 going on the road. And you can’t tell me it wouldn’t feel good to start the season with a win over them Jets.

No, I guess I just think that they are rebuilding the right way and seem to be on the right track. They found themselves a QB who looks like he can be a pretty good starting QB for them. They already had themselves a stud WR in Megatron, and they also picked up a pretty good TE last year in the draft in Pettigrew, and a RB who looks like he can be pretty good in Smith. They’ve made some fair upgrades in FA this year, and I just think that they are going to surprise some people this year. They were pretty close to winning a few more games last year too.
