Here is the overflow for Round 1 Discussions....
Welcome everyone to the 2010 Phinsider Community Mock Draft. There are lots of highly talented young men available this year. It should be a very exciting time for all of them.
This draft will take place over the next few weeks. As your team is placed on the clock, please post your pick, with a picture if possible, and an explanation of why you took that player in the comments. I will update the main body of the post with the picks as I see them posted.
If anyone has any questions, please post them below and if we have a delay because someone doesn't seem to be around (probably a 24-hour delay is minimum), I will use the alternate list to keep the draft going.
The order and team assigments are below.
New Rule: No player trades allowed. Any draft pick trades will be considered by the Phinsider community (via comments) prior to approval to try to keep them as realistic as possible.

I don’t want to hold up the draft, so here is what the Titans will do at #16:
With the loss of Kyle Vandenbosch to the Lions in FA, they need an impact / pass rushing DE to replace him. So far, the top two 4-3 DE’s in the draft are still available.
So with the #16 pick the Tennessee Titans select Jason Pierre-Paul, DE University of South Florida.
If Nicky selects JPP at #15, The Titans 2nd choice for pick #16 is Derrick Morgan, DE Georgia Tech.

Clausen just doesn't do it for me...
I’ll admit I haven’t watched a lot of him but what I have seen looked really average. He made some nice plays but nothing stood out as impressive. Then there was the interview I heard on Sirius NFL radio a couple weeks ago. I immediately understood why people question his leadership and character. He seemed like a nice enough guy but he carried himself very weakly. There was no strength, conviction or confidence in the way he answered the questions. I would not want this guy leading my team trying to take charge in a huddle. He is the polar opposite of what we have with Henne. Henne would kick a teammate in the ass to get them on the right page. I just can’t see Clausen doing the same.
Hey everyone...
So you know, I have to leave tomorrow morning at about 4am, and I won’t be back until sometime Sunday evening. Hopefully the draft will keep going while I am gone and I will update the picks as soon as I can on Sunday.

this is not running very smoothly. The people over at the “milehighreport.com” were able to run through a first round mock in a little over an hour. If we had active users involved I think we could pull this off.

I know I'm not really well established here yet...
But I do hang around the site all day at work on weekdays. The problem for me comes on the weekends because I am usually not at home throughout the day to keep up on it. So when the Bengals’ turn comes up, if it’s a weekend, I promise to make the pick in the evening at the latest (west coast time). I can’t speak for the reasons why anyone else has been slow though.

But, the fact is you check it even in the evenings…. I mean if people checked at least once an evening like you, we could plow thru some picks.

but there aren’t any “Quarterback U” schools going right now that I can think of.. USC has put out a lot of names, but Sanchez looked like shit last year, Leinart is unknown, Palmer is solid at this point, Booty stinks… John David Booty that is lol..
The top 2 QB’s in the league went to Purdue and Tennessee. I just think at some point you gotta look past the school and look at the player. His resume is ridiculous, and he didn’t have nearly the talent around him that other QB prospects had.

Well I was thinking Golden Tate here as well give Sanchez a weapon in the slot and possible guy to take over for Edwards if they don’t re-sign him,
but Rex is building up his D and needs a good pass rusher to get pressure on opposing QB’s something that Vernon has not been able to do Rex gets the best of both worlds with this pick he can have Jerry be his pass rushing OLB in his 3-4(best option) or if he really needs help on the line he can have Jerry play end as well
