It took me some time to think of this but I don't know what else to do. All of us on this page are pretty much diehard dolphin fans, and have been since the beginning of Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor's careers. No one on this coaching staff was here when these two were leading us through season after season while building hall of fame careers.
Now after dedicating and sacrificing their careers and their bodies for this team, Zach wants to simply retire a Miami Dolphin and Jason Taylor simply wants a chance to compete for a starting spot on this team. The fact that Bill Parcells, Jeff Ireland, and Tony Sparano wont allow them to do so or give them a chance is a class-less display of character. Jason Taylor was our best and most consistent linebacker last season...HANDS DOWN! This regime is willing to bring a 36 year old Jason Ferguson back who is suspended for half the season because he used steroids but won't bring back Jason Taylor to fill a position that we currently don't have anyone to fill? The guy took $1 million dollars to play in Miami and has shown his love for the game and not the money. At this point he refused to go on any free agent visits because all he wants is to finish his career in Miami and deserves every chance to do so.
This regime brought back Chad Pennington who played one full season in Miami and just got done with his THIRD shoulder surgery but wont bring back JT?
I am up for suggestions on how to go about getting us heard but the Miami Dolphins existed before the Trifecta came and we'll be here long after, and when you name the top 5 Miami Dolphin Greats we all know that two names in that list are Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor and they shouldn't be treated as just any two players. They represent loyalty and legacy and should be treated with more respect.
