thoughts?

Hello fellow dol-fans, I was on national football post reading an article on all of the remaining free agents, and Shawne Merriman caught my eye. This might seem like a long shot considering, he is pretty costly, he is another troublemaker, and he might not fit with the team, but think about the following. The price shouldn't be too much of a problem because its an uncapped year and we are one of the richest teams anyways, and we already showed we are willing to spend money (Making Karlos Dansby the highest paid linebacker in history). But this guy also has some history of being a corrupt player, as a matter of fact i remember him feuding with Jason Taylor in the 2006 season, but our front management has already shown that they're willing to take a high risk high reward (Richie Incognito), and I think he would be able to fit into our system, so with that being said, what are your guys thought about signing this guy, just remember a linbacking corpse of Merriman,Crowder,Wake, and Dansby is just downright scary, Thoughts?

didnt know that i thought he was a ufa and we just offered him a contract and then San diego had 10 days to match, in that case forget thats way too much for a big risk maybe a second and a fourth but he is one heck of a player

he's kinda over the hill at this point

he may have a little gas in the tank, but no use wasting playing that could be used to develop a younger guy

Merriman

he has no ligaments in his knees, his days of being an explosive rush olb are over, plus hes an ass, he costs to much and no way we would give up anything higher than a 3. He was dominant at one point but that was probably just the steroids. this guy will be a DE in the near future.
