Its a bold move, but this is going to be used against Henne if he begins to struggle at any point next year. I think you need to prove something in this league before being able to speak up about things like that… and even then i wouldn’t do it.

for fans of the Fins and Gators. Just know that playing the role of dad is Henne.

Everyone’s entitled to an opinion and Chad H knows way more about what it takes to be an NFL QB than most…but I would think one of the things it takes is maturity, poise and the ability to inspire others…qualities Tebow has demostrated and everyone eveluating him confirms he has….qualities that comment doesn’t reflect.

But did he really have to say it? Tebow’s a young kid who’s gonna have to prove himself all over again like all rookies. Why knock him when he’ll probably struggle anyway? I don’t get it. And if Henne doesn’t put up next year it’ll make him look bad.

But it’s a small comment and totally not a big deal. Tebow will use all the doubters as fuel to play the best he can. I doubt it will be good enough.

The guy did a Pro-Life commercial at halftime of the SB. No need to draw sides on the issue here so please don’t think I’m criticizing him one way or another. My view is personal as is yours, this certainly isn’t the stage either.

My point is do you really want Tebow going too far at some point or even his mother becoming a public voice? Good for them speaking their mind but I don’t want a bunch of protesting Pro-Choice people using one of our players as a target in the future.

I will say that drafting him might increase ticket sales but that would mean he’s basically a Gator side-show. It just doesn’t seem like bringing in what would become the biggest name on the team in a secondary role would work.

Needless to say Henne’s comment might force the Dolphins really not to consider him since I’m sure Henne’s reasoning to say such a thing has been addressed with the team or will be very soon.

I wouldn’t mind seeing him go to the Pats and bringing all that drama there. I think all those years of praising Belichick has caused him to think he can handle any situation but Tim Tebow and Randy Moss doesn’t sound like it would work. Nor would Tom Brady’s supermodel lifestyle or the Pats questionable ethics. What happens when Belichick asks him to do something unethical?

2 reasons for all this:

1. Media is treating Tebow like the second coming of Jesus, between tears and prayers Tebow will have his own talk-show soon

2. He isn’t that good, sure Henne should keep his mouth shut about this “hot topic” but if Tebow was the player the media pulls him to be there would be no conversation

That kids a media junkie from sophomore year….he had a all star team around him every year and he performs under pressure, so what….this all sound like the Tebow draft, not the NFL’s

I’m not a 100% sold that Henne is a NFL QB yet. Was Tom Brady considered an NFL QB prior to when he was drafted in the 6th round? How about David Garrard when he was drafted in the 4th round? Or Jake Delhomme or Kurt Warner, weren’t both of those guys undrafted, yet didn’t they lead teams to the Super Bowl?

Even guys who evaluate QB’s for a living don’t know who is going to make it in the league at QB and who isn’t. There are no set rules. There are no set “styles” or “throwing motions”. If there were Bernie Kosar and a dozen other guys shouldn’t have played in the NFL.

Some team is going to draft Tebow. Some team is going to give him a chance learn how to play the QB position and will give him a couple of years to learn. And maybe, just maybe he will succeed. But me, or you, or Henne, or anyone else knows whether he will for sure or not.

A Professional player should not make this type of comment on an upcoming college draft pick. So Henne, Shut Up and worry about yourself.

IOW, what business does Chad Henne, a guy who faces plenty of questions about whether he is the answer at QB for miami, have evaluating or even opining on the prospects of a fellow QB?

I mean if Peyton Manning or Brady or Kurt Warner make a statement then it carries some weight. But from a guy with all of 12-13 starts in this league? um, that’s a negative.

Henne may be repeating what he hears from Lee. The “I’ll leave it at that” part of the comment usually means he has inside information, but doesn’t want to throw Tebow under the bus.
For example…..
Person 1: “I’m thinking about investing money in this guys (Man X) company.”
Person 2 has lost $ in a different venture with Man X and says “I wouldn’t invest in him right now, I’ll leave it at that.”

OR

Boy 1: “Man that girl is hot, I’d like to meet her.”
Boy 2 knows that the girl is trouble (sick, slutty, high maintenance) and says, “You don’t want to mess with her, I’ll leave it at that.”

That part usually means they know something else, but don’t want to reveal what they know for whatever reason.

You see, when you are the quarterback of a NFL team, the media will do this thing called an interview (That’s where they ask him questions and he answers with his opinion). Henne has been nothing short of a stand-up player on and off the field. Instead of answering with your opinion, he gives his. You see a “no comment” during an interview doesn’t really make it an interview. Henne simply stated his opinion when asked about his views on Tebow with one sentence, and then refused to go any further in depth. Obviously it was a slow news day for NFL writers, so they thought that printing this story would turn some heads from those people who cant decipher the wording. Good job media, you stirred controversy from nothing and made an outstanding player look like a player-hater (literally).

and I know he’s our future and will back him up whenever I have to, but he hasn’t even started an entire season yet. He has to learn humility and to keep a tight lip before he truly makes a name for himself out there.

i love chad henne as our quarterback and what the future may bring, BUT chad henne has NOT proven himself to be an elite quarterback either. you dont see drew brees, peyton manning, tom brady, etc who im sure have been asked these question saying thing like this.

i listened to the interview and they did NOT directly ask how do you feel about tim tebow as a quarterback. he brought it upon himself to say that. he should have kept his mouth shut about it, but thats my opinion. i will still support the hell out the guy (henne)

It’s clear that some people take the Tebow debate waaaaaaaaay too seriously. So I’m done ever bringing his name up again.

As far as Henne – he was asked a direct question and gave his honest opinion. Kudos to him. No need to always be PC when dealing with the media. He answered honestly – good for him.

But Henne will have to eat his words if he himself never becomes a good starting QB.
