Jeff Owens Of Georgia
Does anyone know about him?
Saw an artical stating he runs a 4.8 in the 40. And he was the one that put up the 225lbs 44 times. He is 6-1 305. Thats pretty quick for a big guy to play nose tackle. This looks like someone that we could get later on in the draft. That is big strong and quick what we want in our nose tackle. What do yall think?

Could be a nice pick up in late rounds, I also read the article
Pulling the E. Thomas & D. Thomas Bandwagon.
Teabow is not 1st round Talent, just saying.
I'm not sure if we read the same article,
but he is visiting with the Fins soon, I still think they take a NT in the first 3 rounds, and 1 later, this might be the guy later.

he's an interesting late-round option.
And Parcells likes taking NTs late – and he’s good at it (Ferguson, Ratliff)

yeah he has really good size
short 6’1 with 301lbs he will always have great leverage over the taller guys.
Someone correct me if im wrong but that is about perfect size for a NT
With the 12 pick of the 2010 NFL Draft Miami picks Dan Williams NT Tennesse.
320-325 is more NT weight
The top 7 draft prospects at NT are all over 320, with Mt. Cody coming in at a whopping 354.
301 is undersized for a NT, and Parcels like them big, Wilfork style.
The 2 NTs he is known for are Fergy and Ratliff,
and they are both about 305.

exactly
Parcells doesn’t have a track record of taking BIG NT’s, or taking them high.

not sure if you guys have heard this but...
What I’ve been hearing is that he is lazy and unmotivated and that is one of the reasons he is so far down the draft board. It would be nice if all that actually translated onto the field on a regular basis but lets face it he didn’t actually dominate in college. MIght be worth taking a late flier though.

He also had an ACL injury at the start of 2008
I like our odds to take him if he is still around in round 6 or 7 but I think he will probably get taken in round 5. We could still take his teammate Kade Weston who some consider a better fit at NT while Owens seems more like a 4-3 DT.
For Comparisons sake:
Jeff Owens: 32 tackles, 3.5 TFL and 1 sack this past year (Post ACL injury)
Kade Weston: 28 tackles, 6 TFL and 2 sacks this past year (Likely goes in round 6 or 7)
NY Jets = NFL's Chicago Cubs
There's a fine line between hopeful and desperate. Just look @ Jets fans.
