Could some answers to our holes already be here?
I love seeing the vast difference in most predictions for the Dolphins in the 1st round. To me it shows that they've narrowed down the positions of need but still collected some players at those positions that have upside. No one knows what to think of some of these younger players. Have they reached their potential or is there room to grow? If there is room to grow then how much growth can they achieve?
Lets say the areas of need are WR, TE, NT, OLB and FS. I'm going to list the young players at all of those positions, I'm curious to see who everyone thinks has the most potential.

I/m thinking we’re going to see a vast difference of opinion. Being forced to choose one out of the pack really should give us an idea of who to expect something from.
Go get Suh if at all possible.

I like the following players to fill some of our needs...
Chris Clemons FS
Cameron Wake WOLB
Ryan Grice-Mullen WR
Kory Sperry TE
Patrick Turner WR
Brian Hartline WR
I also like Davone Bess(who doesn’t)… but I don’t feel like he will be a #1 receiver, because he is on the slow side. I do think that he is already the best possession receiver in the game though.

In the game?
That’s questionable. He is among the top guys and will develop into an even better player, don’t get me wrong. But the best possession receiver in the game, already, meh.

Ryan Grice-Mullen
I think will be more of a ST specialist. he will be back there to return punts and kicks. He may try to squeeze himself into the WR rotation, but he is of the similar mold of Bess. Those two did magical things in Hawaii together. I cant wait for training camp to see what happens with this kid.
Better than Hines Ward, Boldin, Steve Smith (CAR), Welker, and TJ Housh?
I like Bess too, but he’s not that good.
I used to think I had a drinking problem.
So I stopped thinking.

chris clemons is the answer
after him wake will clearly be quite solid next year and hartline is already our stud in the redzone

hey now..
Wake isnt really a “younger” player.. but I went for Hartline because I ♥ Hartline
Henne is the QB of the Miami Dolphins. Good.
Trade Brown? Are you smoking crack?
Hartline will be the Dolphins #2 for years to come. Kid has IT
We need this pass D to STEP THE F UP and do what they get paid to do!
We dont need a 30+ receiver we need younger, Bowe or Marshall will do fine
I had to go with Hartline.
Because you were basing this off position, I had to downgrade Wake due to the unknown that is his coverage abilities.
While Hartline has the potential to become Henne’s go to guy in the passing game. Sure he’s not a deep threat, but he’s the closest thing we got to a #1 receiver right now. I wouldn’t be surprised one bit to see him lead the team in every receiving category this year. As for Bess, I just don’t see him being anything more than a slot receiver on this team.
Clemons still has a long way to go to become a factor. He’s an extreme liability in coverage, which is why he only lasted a couple quarters each time he was given a chance to supplant Wilson.

Bess
he is our Wes Welker, I think that he will be what we want from our TE, a safety valve for Henne to throw to. He is not the fastest true, but his routes are superb and he has heart. I mean the kid was a UDFA. By the way, did we re sign him? And if so for how long?
Bess is our Brandon Stokely
I think Hartline will become Henne’s safety valve, only because if we develop a #1, Bess only comes in on 3WR sets.
I used to think I had a drinking problem.

Bess is already the #1 at his position,
so I voted for Wake.

If going by position, are we differentiating ILB/OLB?
Or are all LBs lumped together? Cause there’s no way Wake is going to be better than Dansby for all LBs. If we resign JT, then there’s no way Wake will be better than JT by the end of 2010, which rules out the OLB as well.
The question wasn’t who is already #1, it’s who will become #1 in 2010. I believe Hartline becomes the go to guy in 2010.

Cameron Wake all the way, baby!
Joey Porter: on 354 attempts rushing the passer…9 sacks, 11 QB pressures, and 5 QB hits
Cam Wake: on 134 attempts rushing the passer…5.5 sacks, 20 QB pressures, and 6 QB hits
From the Fin Spot
1st: Earl Thomas S; 2nd: Lamarr Houston NT/DE; 3rd: Linval Joseph NT; 4th: Adrian Tracy OLB; 6A: Stevenson Sylvester ILB; 6B: Deji Karim RB; 6C: Jameson Konz TE; 7A: Scott Long WR;
So we've established he can rush the QB.
But can he cover and defend against the run? Cause the #1 at the OLB position can do all three.
I used to think I had a drinking problem.
So I stopped thinking.
I'm voted for Hartline although for star potential Cameron Wake does have a great upside.
1. CJ Spiller RB Clemson 2. Jerry Hughes OLB Texas Christian
3. Reshad Jones S Georgia 4. Linval Joseph NT East Carolina
6a. Robert Johnson S Utah 6b. Micah Johnson ILB Kentucky
6c. Kion Wilson ILB South Florida 7a. Shay Hodge WR Mississippi
7b. Michael Hoomanawaui TE Illinois
I hope
Cam “Earth” Wake is working on his coverage skills right now. It seems to be the biggest unknown for him, so if he puts a lot of effort into improving that one factor, his Beast mode will go through the roof. Will he be an every down LB or just a pass rushing LB? How is he against the run?
i mean our 1st. this year for a free #1 pick next year but we swap spots. Next year i can't see them drafting in the top three, but the top 5, or 6, yes!
Lets get there top guy next year, if they do it? Cuz they really need a QB right now. once your out of the top 10 the tallent is kinda close!
