My Mock Draft (DPL is back)
That's right I been gone for like 2 days but im back and with a brand new Mock Draft,
You know how it goes let's get Crunk:
HA tell them Crunk Jesus

Whoo feels good to be back didn't go to school today for my eyes but it's not like you care O and Breaking News Little Nicky's boyfriend apparently died of a heart attack. Hmm Nicky what did you do, you must have done some naughty things:
R.I.P old man
?-2010
Anyways on to the draft, Now having Karlos Dansby as our starting ILB eliminates that in the first round. Our most glaring needs our FS, OLB, NT, and WR. I don't think we'll spend a high pick on a WR and I also don't think we'll spend lower than a 3rd round pick on a NT. So the most likely choice as the first round pick is either: OLB or FS. With so much depth at FS:
- Chad Jones
- Reshad Jones
- Morgan Brunett
- Robert Johnson
- Nate Allen
I think our first pick will be a Top flight OLB. So here goes:
Goodell: With the 12th pick in the 2010 draft the Miami Dolphins select:
Brandon Graham, DE/OLB, Michigan
Brandon Graham is one of the best DE/OLB in this draft and definitely has the motor and strength to play SOLB (Little Nicky). He has the Heart, Determination, and Background this FO likes and not only that im sure Jake Long and Chad Henne wouldn't mind having their teammate back with them.
Those guys are awesome I met them when I went to the Dolphins training camp these guys are the truest Dolphin Fans.
As much as i would want to put Sean Weatherspoon here Little Nicky said it best "
Weatherspoon is below 240 lbsJPP and Morgan are both 260+. They project much better size-wise to the SOLB position. Spoon is too small to play there IMO, and projects much better to the weakside or the inside. I’m not arguing that he isn’t good, just that he’s a SOLB
But if you look around the NFL today, Teams are targeting those big, stiff, slow linebackers less and going for those small, fast, and athletic linebackers more which is something we need on this team besides Dansby. One person can not be all over the field we need at least 2 linebackers and a FS doing that which is why i thought he'll be good with us since he's the best all-round linebacker. Then i found out something about Brandon Graham, it seems that Jeff Ireland likes him alot and the FO has been paying close attention to Brandon Graham.Sorry tried looking for the link but no way n hell am i going to look through all 45,500 threads for that.
Why we didn't draft JPP or Morgan you ask? Because Morgan is better suited as a DE even if he has the strength and speed to rush the passer that does not always mean you are a good run stopper as he has problems with that. this person said it best:
Morgan can rush the passer, but doesn't look as good in the run game. Brandon Graham is a beast either way.
i'll take Graham on my dolphins and Morgan too anyday, both look good, i like graham more though. Graham looks more like freeney.
Why would the FO target someone who could only rush and not stop the run when we already have someone like that in Cameron Wake. JPP's situation is simple: one hit wonder. Played easy teams and can only rush once again we have that already.
Anyways on to the second
Goodell: With the #43 pick in the draft the Miami Dolphins select:
Reshad Jones, FS, Georgia
The Dolphins are heard to be interested in him and host him to dinner today. He may not be the best coverage safety in the draft but he's big and has a knack for the ball. He also hits the hell out of people and has good hands. If he doesn't work out as a FS why not move him to SS while Clemons still develops, he'll make a perfect replacement for Bell that is if he does not work out. In most mock drafts he's going to go early third but if the FO likes someone alot they will reach for him and why not with this kid having major potential to be something someday in this league ( and I mean it in a good way not like a water boy or something).
Third Round here we go
Goodell: With the #73 pick in the draft the Miami Dolphins select:
Jimmy Graham, Miami, TE
I doubt Jimmy Graham gets past us as in the Senior Bowl it seemed as if Tony Sparano took a liking to him complimenting him on many things. Not only that but he has potential to be something great and has the size and speed the FO usually goes for at TE. I think we take him though because he's a smart kid and not because of his intangibles even though it helps.
Fourth Round
This pick will either be Linval Joesph or Torrel Troup which are both solid NT who could develop nicely along with Fergueson. Reason why NT is not higher is because i feel that Paul Solai did a decent job last season for us, also because all those post people have been making about not taking a NT in the first round; which i tend to agree to. Bill Parcells is a genius in finding true NT's in drafts, such as: Jay Ratliff, Kris Jenkins, and Jason Fergueson. All of them are not first rounders Jason Fergueson being a 7th rounder. Bill probrably feels he could find a NT later on.
LOOK OUT!!!
Sixth Round
Dezmon Briscoe, WR, Kansas
Any remaining wide reciever will go here but i put Dez because he has Play maker written all over him just watch the Vid. He has the potential to be something great in this league someday and could make an impact right away.
The rest are probrbaly picks on RB, OL, and OLB. If you don't like this draft no worries I make one every week im not busy. If you hate this draft well meet my body guard:
Don't mess with him. Anyways leave your thoughts peace.

I lied we spend a pick on a NT on the forthh round simply because both are supposed to be there.

I like your mock but.....
with one small correction. Spoon is not under 140 he is 149 and certainly has the frame to bulk up even more. More importantly he is fast and can cover in the flat which may help us cover some of those tight ends that are still wide open as we speak.
Everyone has his day and some days last longer than others.

Nice Mock
I like all the picks. Especially Jimmy Graham in the third. I just hope he’s still there.
Unofficial Bandwagon for Signing Karlos Dansby
Reshad Jones in the second...nice.

Excellent draft.
I like the idea of Reshad Jones as he is perhaps the most versatile Safety in the draft. He truly is capable of playing FS or SS. He did well in the drills at the combine and had an above average college career (76 tackles, 5 interceptions and 3 passes defensed in his SOPHOMORE year) playing in the toughest conference in the land.
I also love this because while I thought Linval Joseph was a potential stud (back in January) based on his intangibles, his combine workout showed flashes of star power. I prefer Cam Thomas but I doubt he will be there and since Joseph should fall lower (thanks in part to Cody’s good pro day) he may just be there in round 4.

Forgot
The only real issue I have is with Briscoe. I am still real shaky with him because of the offense he played in. The tape doesn’t lie (he has skills) but how much of what he showed was based on Kansas’ offensive scheme. It’s similar to Ryan Matthews in that he looks great on tape but the question remains as to how many things (besides his efforts) went into how good he looked. Matthews, for example, had solid blocking and didn’t have to create most of his openings (not a knock on Matthews) but it leaves the question of how effective will he be if the NFL OL in front of him isn’t as solid?
I’m still hopeful for Marcus Easley to fall to round 5 (Compensatory pick) or round 6 but if we already got Graham, I will be less picky at WR. I just love the idea of two guys who weren’t recruited to play their positions (Easley being a Walk-on at UConn and Graham being a B-Baller) showcasing their talent and work ethic to have gotten as far as they did. Speaks very well of their character and talent which are two things Parcells values very highly. Unfortunately, neither has the experience that Parcells covets so he might not target either one.

Mathews
The O-Line for Fresno State was not as solid as you might think. Also relize that Mathews played in front of Clifton Smith who was #4 on the Depth chart when he was at Fresn State. Lonynae Miller Fresno State’s #3 running back this year will be drafted before the 6th round. Just trying to say I’ve seen alot of pro running backs come out of Fresno State and play agaist Fresno State. He is probably one of the best running back I’ve seen come out of Fresno. By the way in High School he lead the nation in rushing as QB/RB. He could be a wildcat option and I would compare him to Ronnie Brown in a lot of ways.

He had a poor combine but he still won't escape the 5th round
His numbers are inflated by the Kansas offense, his combine effort sucked but he still isn’t in 6th round territory. Micah Johnson on the other hand will quite possibly fall that far due to his 40 which still leaves alot of questions about that injury he received.
Micah’s 4.84 40-time means there’s little chance he could maintain coverage of TEs at the NFL level so down he goes. Briscoe was expected to run no worse than 4.55-4.57 and he ran a 4.61 at the combine. It did lower his stock but he turned in a 4.51 at his pro day so it averages out enough that someone will probably take him before round 6. We’ll likely end up with a compensatory pick at the end of round 5 that we might have a shot at Briscoe with.
My biggest concern with Briscoe (I alluded to it earlier) is gonna be seperation at the next level. If you go back you will see that a lot of those highlights were of him in one on one coverage (where he blows by the Ohio State CB that falls down for example) where the safety is late in providing assistance, or involves a 4-5 receiver set where man coverage is all but assured. At the least, he appears to be a guy that can come in on a multi-receiver set and get you the yards you need but that sound like other guys we already have. I’m not against Briscoe, but he doesn’t strike me as having any #1 potential at the NFL level.

I wouldn't be surprised
If Parcells doubles up on NTs and OLBs. I would be Blown away if we pass on Kade Weston in round 7 and would be fairly shocked if we didn’t take him in round 6 (#176).
