Fantasy Draft

Let's start off with a disclaimer, "This is not a Mock".  When I say that, I mean that this is how I would pick if I, GM Farorefox, was in charge and running the show.

[This next pick isn't going to make any sense, considering we don't have a 5th pick.  I will elaborate, in my 6th pick.]

With a TBD 5th pick, the Miami Dolphins select...

[So, here it goes.  Miami has been doing something rather peculiar.  They've been scouting ANOTHER quarterback.  3's company, 4's a crowd, but 5 is pure insanity.  I figure White is clearly the odd man out, and seeing as he has almost no trade value whatsoever at this particular time, they may flat-out drop him like a lead weight.  In a modest gesture, I traded Thigpen for a mere 5th (of course we could get more but... why complicate?).  Therefore, QB #1 is Chad Henne, QB #2 is Pick #6 A., and Chad Pennington is QB #3.]

With the No. 4 pick in the 6th round, the Miami Dolphins select...

6. QB- Joey Elliott, Perdue

Birth Date- August 2, 1986

Hometown- Evansville, Indiana

Height- 6'2

Weight- 216 lbs

Age- 23

Class- Senior

[I really don't feel like finishing beyond this point, so I'll leave the rest up to your imagination.  Have fun.]

I like Thomas and Graham,

and Geno Atkins might make a nice rotational DE for us but we need a NT, and at least 1 OLB in the first 4 rounds, IMO.

So many needs, ugh

It really is impossible to fill the entirety. With decent players at any rate. You get a defensive player, and you cut an offense, or vice versa. I’m getting tired of “balance” quite honestly. I say we load heavy on O.

But our D is what sucked last year,

I don’t care how much you score if you can’t stop the other guy your going to lose a lot, our O will be ok, our D is another matter.

The only way I could bring a happy outcome, would be for us to FA a safety, and Draft Williams with the One instead

Then potentially grab a OLB with the Magic-Fifth, or swap it to #4 and draft a lesser TE

Sorry man but I disagree with most of it

1-I couldnt get mad with Thomas in the 1st but Id rather go with a NT.
2/3-Personally, I wouldnt touch a WR or RB in the first 4 rounds unless we get some extra picks, I think our need for LBs is to big.
4-As much as I like Graham, I say we fill needs before we start upgrading, we already have a capaple TE, thats another position I wouldnt touch in the first 4 without extra picks
5-I like Atkins but not for us, at least not at NT. Like someone said above, in a 3-4 he projects more as an end.
6-Honestly, I dont even get this one

Id rather go
1-Williams or Cody
2-Darryl Washington
3-AJ Edds
4-Robert Johnson
If we can get some extra picks in the 2-4 range I would throw in a RB (Hardesty or Blount) and/or a TE (Graham or Pitta). I wouldnt get a WR til the 5th (comp. or trade) or later. Im pretty sure Im the sole occupant of the Danario Alexander Bandwagon and I think he’ll be available there.
But of course its all IMO.

6 isnt me, its the Dolphins

they want him for some reason, they’ve been watching him.

Yeah, I was being conservative too, when I only got a 5th for Thigpen

I’m definitely sure we cant get more, but I didn’t want to get too complicated. I actually support the QB decision personally, Thigpen has alot of trade value, so a replacement would be nice, and Pat White is pretty much worthless. And we have 3 whole 6 rounders, so taking him with the final wouldnt be too much of a stretch, and he’s really a steal, completely underrated.

Why do we need a QB again?

The only wisdom is the knowledge that you don't know.
On the Draft Hernandez in 2nd Bandwagon.
Now lets go get OJ Atogwe.

Could I be your Jafar?

You will acquire three 1st round picks. You will draft Ndamukong Suh. You will draft Eric Berry. You will draft CJ Spiller.

Come to think of it, I could just use that during this years draft, road trip anyone??
