Okay so i know the headline probably either made you soil your pants, or jump for joy, but it makes me think as to why they have not pursued this trade scenario?
We trade Ronnie to the Chargers for their first round pick. EVeryone know they desperately need a RB, and someone like Ronnie would flourish in Turner's system. Their backfield is so depleted, why would they not consider signing him to an offer sheet?
Miami in turn would receive their 1st, i believe 29th overall. Now, we have options...We can take the 12th, and draft BPA, or we can trade down, and acquire more second round picks, or we can trade that pick to Denver and get Marshall. That way we can use the 29th pick on our DT, maybe Odrick, or young OLB, Witherspoon, or even a TE. I know we would have to give up our playmaker, but think about the opportunity it would provide for us to rebuild the core of our team, would far out-weigh the risk of trading our RB.
I know it may be a pipe dream, but it never hurts to dream does it?
Thoughts?
