NT Options??
Gerard Warren has been released by the Oakland Raiders - 6'4'' 325 Pounds. (per PFT) I honestly do not know anything about him but he is 31 with 9 Years under his belt. Former 1st Round pick.
With limited FAs available and Ferg's troubles; could he be a fit in a 3-4 with our fins?
PFT also said "Although Warren has started all 32 games in the last two seasons for the Raiders and still occasionally shows flashes of the athleticism that made him the third overall pick in the 2001 NFL draft, he's 31 years old and not likely to get any big-money offers in free agency.
Warren had a career-low two sacks in 2009."

Is he an option? Yes.
Is he the right choice? No. We have to remember that for better or worse Jason Ferguson is the starting NT on this team. Since Ferg’s gonna be 36 and miss 8 games, we need the future NT to get some experience this year so he can take over next year.
NY Jets = NFL's Chicago Cubs
There's a fine line between hopeful and desperate. Just look @ Jets fans.
well he clearly was a bust being a no.3 overall pick i never heard of him

Agreed
I vaugely remember him, but honestly couldn’t tell you much about him. “Stat-wise” he’s had similar numbers to Jason Ferguson. Actually, he’s had about twice as many sacks as Fergy. Not sure how he’d work in a 3 Man front; but could help fill a voice for a couple years.

A good NT is so hard to find
What a pain in the ass to find a good one. Too tall and no leverage, too fat and lazy, too old and wear down, suspended and old. I like Shaun Rogers, when that big bastard wants to play he can play sadly that does not always happen. Maybe we will luck out in the draft, Cam Thomas perhaps
