What yould you do this offseason and draft if you were GM?

This is just what I would do:

Free Agency:

1) Sign Dansby

* Which they did :)

2) Trade 2nd round pick this year and next years 3rd for B. Marshall

3) Sign Jason Taylor to a 1-2 year deal (insurance if Wake doesnt win job in camp)

4) I would've kept Gibril for one more year and see how he did under new DC

Draft: (in my perfect draft world)

1-Call up Cleveland if Berry is still there at their pick. Swap first round picks and give them one of our extra later picks and take Berry! If he is gone, hold tight at 12th... Take best OLB/DE Hybrid available. or trade back a few spots and take Thomas out of Texas

2-Traded pick for B. Marshall

3- Best avaialble DT... or Best available OLB, if we got a safety rather than LB in round 1

*** There has been a trade, Dolphins trade Ginn to Chicago for Olsen and swap 4th round picks

4- Best available DT or OLB depending on what I did in round 3

5, 6- Traded with round 1 switch (pending that went down), if not Best available RB and Best available WR in 5th and 6th..... that's enough wishful thinking for now :)

what your saying makes no sense. 1st of all the bears arent getting rid of Olsen, also marshall is going to go for a 1st, and we will not trade up to get berry

I disagree with JoJo

The Bears want to get rid of Olsen. Its the Mike Martz offense which doesnt give Te’s anything more then blocking mostly. Thats why they just got a new Te in free agency so they can make Olsen expendible. They wanna be more Runnative then Passing so therfore they don’t care about a pass catching TE.

No, Olsen wants to leave Chicago because

he doesn’t like the way TEs are used in Martz’s system. Chicago does not want to get rid of him, he wants to get rid of Chicago.

I think the most receptions by a TE in a MM Offense is like 38 and that was most likely Ricky Proehl, who was quite good by the way.

Ricky Proehl was a wide receiver.

but whether the bears want to get rid of olsen or not they wouldnt do that trade. this is some very wishful thinking. i dont think cleveland would do that trade and the broncos definately wouldnt trade marshall for a second and third of next year. i want dez bryant anyway.

This is a tough call we still have alot of holes

But Ill give it a shot two senerios

Sign-Atogwe FS solved
Round 1- Draft Dez
Round 2- Cam Thomas
Round 3-Jerry Hughes
Round 4-Jimmy Graham

Now if we dont get Atogwe
Round 1- Thomas or Berry
Round 2- Benn or Tate
Round 3- Huges or Norwood
Round 4-Lafell or Thomas

huge fan of your first scenario.

i want dez bryant on the dolphins so bad. thats an authentic jersey that i will definately get. and cam thomas is great but his stock might be rising out of our reach. and i want them to make a run for atogwe but i dont think it will happen until june or something. i would be stoked if that was our draft.

This is if I were GM…. Now what I think they’ll do is something totally different. :)

1-E.Thomas or Williams (Berry definately if he falls that far)
2-C.Thomas or if we took Williams then best available WR
3-Hughes if available or take best OLB/DE hybrid

also look at Jimmy Graham here

No NE will turn those 3 2nd round picks into 1 or 2 1st round picks next year.. Teams are stupid enough to keep trading with them

What the FO will do in draft

I dont expect much more in FA except middle to bottom of roster strengthing.

1) this will go Berry if there if not Thomas or most likely OLBer(Kindle/Graham) Kindle played OLBer until last year replacing Orakpo at DE he would be a verstal player for Nolan to move around with Dansby

2)Nate Allen if OLBer in first or OLBer even if OLBer drafted in first Hughes/Weatherspoon/Norwood/Sapp I dont think they want to have to resign JT for a raise and 2 years unless they dont get 2 OLBers that they want (this could also be a NT spot with a Cody or Cam Thomas

3) This is where I expect the first of 2 NTs taken (Thomas/Houston/Troup)

4)Robert Johnson/Kan Chancellor(he switched senor year to FS from rover)/ Wright this is made assuming Berry/Thomas/Allen hasnt already been picked otherwise many options ILB/TE/RB I expect an ILBer to be taken somewhere to replace 3 mil backup Torbor who is a poor replacement starter for Crowder who always seems to get dinged

Remember this is Parcell’s legacy and he wont go anywhere not in a place where he can play golf year round, his late 60’s age, having his guy at HC and gm that he trusts to allow duties to so he can get in a round or spring training game. Parcells legacy is currently clouded by his departures from everywhere he has been running a team PRIOR to winning a SB. He wont try and buy a team he wants to draft it and do it oppisite current fad of throwing offensive SB winners, he will win by defense and a run first mentality

if we don't trade for

Brandon Marshall or draft dez bryant or golden tate. We will prob ahve the worst WR core in football next year. The Browns might have us beat but thats about it.
