NFL DRAFT WITH A MIX OF FREE AGENCY= GOOD RECIPE
IM playing the waiting game along with millions of other Dolphins fans waiting to see what kind of off-season moves the Dolphins will make. The NFL Draft 1st round starts april 22nd and free agency march 5th.So with that said and the Dolphins being just at the edge of being a really good team just needing some key ingredients this off season. There are some concerns that need attention the WR position being what I think biggest.A good group of WR are up for grabs in this nfl draft Dez Bryant,Brandon Lafell,Demaryius Thomas and other mentionable receivers and Bill parcells hasnt drafted a WR in the first round since 96. There are other concerns but this to me being the most important let me know what you think we need this off season the most.

Draft spiller or mclain (i want spiller) get a lb in the 2nd, a widereciever, lb or nosetackle in the 3rd, jimmy graham in the 4th and sharpton from Da U in the 5th

The u
Jimmy graham and sharpton would be a great addition to the team.I would love to see some u players in the mix thanks for the post
Not just yeah
BUT HELL YEAH!!!!
besides I Graham has plenty of upside
And Sharpton has a good chance of replacing one of our LBs in the near future.
Yeah it should be a really interesting offseason
Really only 5 players from being a super bowl contender
ILB, NT, FS, OLB, (WR i guess)
If we can get like a Jason taylor 6th round miracle we could be a serious contender
(what round was he picked 5-7?)
Leader of the Draft Toby Gerhart in the 3rd or 4th round bandwagon
It can be but it can also be done with the right moves in FA and the draft. Have faith!

WR is the #1 most important thing we need
I look at it either we go grab a WR in trades or from the draft we will get the guy we need i hope.
I like the 3 names you mentioned but to me the best reciver comeing out is not any of them its golden tate but thats just me.
we need a reciver a TE and a few key D guys that we will get in rolle and maybe if this is a stretch in dansby but thats a big iff.
The asking price on BM is to much we will or very likely get boldin for porter
lol
I’m sorry but I haven’t agreed with a single thing you’ve said yet.
WR is NOT our most important need, despite what the media wants you to believe. Linebacker is by far our most important need right now. Inside, outside, you name it. Cameron Wake can become a great situational player but shouldn’t be an every-downer; JT is not getting any younger and if not for his athleticism, he’d already be done; Akin/Torbor need to be replaced, if not Channing as well; Porter’s as good as gone.
At the very least, even with Dan Henning as our OC, we still put up points and moved the ball. Worst case scenario, we don’t add much (if anything) to our offense—we still improve based on our young WRs developing and Henne gaining exp./chemistry with them. Our defense improves, however, and we hold teams to under 20 while putting about that many up. We win more games that way than getting a rookie WR (higher chance of busting, too) that would take years to develop.
When all is said and done, I see BP going the Belichik route and building a real team, followed by a trade for an established vet over drafting a first-round talent WR. It’s entirely possible he goes WR in the 2nd or so this season, but he used two picks on WR last season and they need to shore up far too many positions. I’m not buying it.

Completely agree.
Would love to see us snag a beast run stopper/edge setter like Roth but with coverage skills…
Taylor was 1st or 2nd round
Z thomas was 5th or 6th round he was the miracle JT we already knew was a monster.
Taylor was a 3rd round pick Zach was a 5th. Both were steals.

No WR will plug the holes in our D.
He just won’t be able to score enough.

keep in mind FINSFANATIC
That hapless offense scored over 21 points a game on average, but our defense relinquished close to 25 a game. Those numbers just dont add up. I mean we can score all day, but iff we cant stop the other guy (see Indy game). We are pretty much screwed.
I think we need to draft all defense this year, for the exception of a TE and maybe just maybe a WR.
MAYBE A WR ?
one we cant score all day but I will agree the defense needs work but are WR core is one of if not the worse in the league.playmakers does not define any WR we have. The wildcat will only last so long until it gets shutdown.Running the ball is what we do there is no secret. we ranked 4th in the league rushing. nobody fears this weak WR core and pass offense that ranked 20th.I think a playmaker first round then address the D though late draft picks free agency an trades (Joey the cancer Porter)
Jeff Ireland is the one running our drafts not Parcell...
and thats why i think if Dez Bryant or McClain is there we grab one of them ,unless they feel theres someone that fits what there doing with the team better. In that case they will probably try and trade back and get more picks, thats how i think the draft will go.
The Big Tuna
If you think Bill Parcells has no say in this draft your mistaking. Its one of the reasons why he’s in miami.
We drafted 2 WRs last year,
I seriously doubt that we draft one that high, and I don’t think there are any WRs in this draft worth a #12 pick.
