JASON TAYLOR A DOLPHIN NEXT YEAR?
There are many things that Jason Taylor brings to the table for the Miami Dolphins. Leadership is one quality that he brings to the table that every team needs in a locker room. The Dolphins are currently rebuilding on youth and young players need a good mentor and as the active nfl sacks leaders and 13 season veteran he fits. Not to mention He still can play the game seven sacks and INT and three forced fumbles is impressive. I say bring him back he's a living legend in our organization and should be back for another season. let me hear your thoughts fins nation.

Hell yea keep him around he is NOT a cancer to the team like Porter.
JT is a leader and can continue to lead this deffense. And Nolan will know how to get the best work out of him. There is no downside to this guy he already proved he would take a pay cut so it’s not about the money. Give him a little raise and watch him show up next season and POSSIBLY make the Bro Bowl with Nolan coaching him.

he right now wouldnt be taking snaps from anyone
We have no one that has taken the strong side lb spot and we dont know if the experiment with merling will work so keep him for another year until we get someone that can take it

Why not play JT?
This taking snaps from a younger player thing can only go so far. If one is better, you play him. If one isn’t as good as the money he’s asking, you don’t sign him.
Idi, Idi, Idi Amin! De general, de President, de King of de Seas
With Porter gone and Wake in training...
JT is too valuable not to keep, as a mentor, as a leader, as an inexpensive productive player and as a Dolphin!
exactly let this guy retire as a Phin!!!

He has to make the team first,
thats if they don’t have a replacement before then, but I wouldn’t mind seeing him come back, if he can play at least at last years level.

I think we can squeeze two more decent years out of him. If he can still bring it like last year
I think he deserves to play out his days with the Phins.

If he wants to,
he was also saying he was not thrilled about how he was used, a very quiet Joey thing , lol.

But he also said he would prefer to be back in Miami.
He may not love the way he was used but I think he values time with his family over having some extra playing time with another team. I think having Nolan there will actually help him have an even better year and he probably knows it. I see Taylor as the kind of player that thinks things out vs. Porter who just reacts and runs him mouth without thinking at all.

I'm not sure he comes back just "because",
he has talked about the same things as Joey, wanting to be used in the right way, I think he will choose another destination if he doesn’t believe in the philosophy here, you may be right, maybe Nolan is the answer, only time will tell.

Me too, lol,
like I said, if he can still play at that level, hes getting to the point when the wall could be hit at any sec.

When you think of the Fin Greats
You think Marino, Czonka, Duper, Shula, etc. In that nucleus of greatness you have to include JT. The guy is the ultimate team player, the ultimate team leader, the ultimate Dolphin. Playing a new role in ‘09 he was still (as he has been throuhout his) above average. This season could be a rebirth of his career with Nolan running the D. I just don’t think we can afford to part ways with JT at this and i’m all for keeping him as long as he wants to be here and hope he retires a FIN.
