Which of these three Drafts would you be happiest with?
1. First Round: Rolando McClain Second Round: Golden Tate Third Round: Dexter McClusker
2. First Round: CJ Spiller Second Round: Brandon Spikes Third Round: Terrence Cody
3. First Round: Dan Williams Second Round: Jahvid Best Third Round: Major Wright
I'd personally like to see the second option. But all three are possibly available to us. We'll see how it goes. I'd like to see how Mount Cody looks at the combine but I'm betting he'll be all jiggly. But he might turn into a worker. He's a heck of a player if he puts in the effort.

What's crazy to me is that all three are legit possibilities.
This is a draft in which the Phins can really draft some exciting playmakers. I know at times you need to draft offensive linemen but you can’t really get pumped up about them. I like linebackers and skill players. A sick Nose Tackle would be something to get me pumped up. I’m stoked for the combine and actually hope some of the guys I have my eye on don’t do really well.

That's tough.
I have to go #1 though, based on those options.
I would be WAY more excited about this slight retooling:
1) Dez Bryant
2) Brandon Spikes
3) Dexter Mccluster
That would be damn near my ideal draft. Of course that all changes if we are able to address WR through FA, then I feel Mcclain is a must have player

I’m also not very big on Mount cody. Sure that Tennessee game was impressive, but theres to many questions about work ethic and conditioning.

FINGERS CROSSED
AMEN if the draft went this way and the defense got addressed though free agency we would be playoff contenders instantly just add water
I guess I'd go with No.2
But I would prefer a Dan Williams/Brandon Spikes one-two punch.

lol. Actually, Spikes is the guy who swayed me on that list
I like Spiller a lot, but I can’t justify taking him. If we’re going to take an offensive player in the first round, I think it should be a receiver (though it’s not likely to happen).
Besides, it looks like there’s tons of people aboard the Spiller bandwagon anyway, so I would probably just clutter things up.

#2 seems like the best balance
although i really want mcclain

I'd like McClain, too, if he's available
And I think he will be. Guys like Spiller, Bryant might leapfrog him if they put up “wow” numbers at the combine (and Spiller’s almost a lock in that category).
kmb8488 -- The Johnny Lawrence of the Phinsider!
Driving the "Let's get Brandon Spikes in aqua and orange" bandwagon.
exactly
but lets say all three are available…. thats gonna be a tough one to call
but if i were parcells, Mcclain is someone that you KNOW will make an immediate impact on the team, and is very consistently productive, so i would probably pick him
Driving the "Get Vincent Jackson" Bandwagon.

"Violence is not the answer, it's the question; the answer is YES!!!"
Agreed. McClain would be an immediate upgrade at a position that is arguably our achilles' heel right now
And that’s rare value.
This draft is lining up to be pretty interesting. Suh is likely headed to STL, which automatically dangles Clausen to Seattle, Cleveland and Buffalo. Denver will get a first-round pick for Marshall, so we need to pray they don’t make a deal with a team picking in the first half of round one.
I just want McClain or Spikes. As long as we nab one of those guys, I am a happy camper.

#2 because it has the best value....
Spiller would be a great pick, gives the Phins a play maker in the Off. that can line up anywhere on the field and is alway a TD waiting to happen. But what really makes option 2 the best value is Spikes in the 2nd rd. and Cody in the 3rd., both players would be great in Mike Nolans’ Def., Spikes is probably the best ILBer at blitizing and if Cody can get his weight down to have more endurence to play more snaps, that kid can really be a beast in the middle for us.

you changed Terrence Cody to someone like Micah Johnson or someone.
I would also be happy with #1 if you changed Golden Tate to pretty much anyone else not named Terrence Cody.

Correct! Cody=Huge risk to be a bust in the NFL
He may get it together long enough to get himself drafted and get paid but I see a guy that sticks around for a few seasons while some team battles with him over his weight issues. He may show some flashes or even periods of playing well but in the end he seems like one of those guys that a FO will get tired of. Then he gets cut maybe bounces around the league a bit until he is out of the league for good following a incident involving hookers, booze and a couple of cases of little debbies.

I'm willing to take a chance on Cody. He's quick for his weight and I bet he'll put on more muscle...
in the league then he had in college. But that’s just me. He’s about as good as Dan Williams but just needs to prove his work ethic. We’ll learn a lot about him at the combine.

I want to see if he has at least the discipline to drop some weight before the combine.
I still think he will do what he has to do to increase his draft stock and then get paid. I would be afraid that once he got paid his effort would drop.
