Yes, this is another Brandon Marshall fanpost, but I was reading on the ESPN Insider that Brandon Marshall's price tag after all this drama and his public conflict with the head coach has his price tag around a 2nd round pick. We all know about his talent and how young he is, but can you honestly tell me that you wouldn't trade for this guy and give up a 2nd round pick? Even a 2nd rounder and lets say Camarillo (who I am a big fan of)...We would have Marshall, Ginn as our deep threat along with Marshall who can stretch the field...Bess in the slot, and Hartline as well. I think him and Henne could develop into a serious tandem and this would allow to take the pressure off the running game and open everything up. Like I've said in the past, there are time where you have an opportunity to grab an elite player and this is one of them.
Also, addressing the rumors on Vince WIlfork, Karlos Dansby and Antrel Rolle. Clearly if they were all available we wouldn't have enough money to sign each one but I think, considering they are all either 27 or 28 years old that Wilfork would be our most needed player, then Dansby and then Rolle. None of them will come cheap and all have stated they would like to play for the Dolphins. We can't draft a NT like Wilfork, but if we got him (in the rare case the Pats don't tag him)...traded for Marshall, drafted Mcclain or Weatherspoon, Washington, or Micah Johnson... our only hole left would be FS which we possibly could fill with Clemmons or Culver or maybe move Will Allen.
I always felt that having a good line and linebackers would benefit the defensive backfield better by taking some weight off their shoulders. We need leaders on this team and although it would change things around all these moves are possible. We could also benefit from not having to throw Brandon Marshall too much money considering his stock is very low right now. At some point the Trifecta needs to think that we can't fix all our needs through the draft and go after a player or two in Free Agency. Cut the fat off this team with Porter, Wilson, and Ayodele and bring in quality players and develop the young ones.
