Not Another Mock Draft

This Mock was done with the notion that we would be getting Dansby in FA and only our first four picks because past that iswhen we can't even begin to guess what our FO would do. Even the first pick (#12 overall) is anyone's guess but I have done my best.

1st Round: The Miami Dolphins select Jason Pierre-Paul 6'4" 260 lbs. from USF as a OLB!

This would be my first choice with our first pick because of our need at SOLB and the fact that PP has significant experience in a zone defense compared to the other prospects worthy of a top 15 pick. He has a lot of the physical tools you look for in an elite pass rusher and behind the tutelage of JT he could be a very effective blitzer in Nolan's defense. My second option would be Spiller from Clemson because of our needs at running back but, we can address this later in the draft or next year. Meanwhile SOLB has to be done this year. And we all know BP loves his SOLB stud.

2nd Round: The Miami Dolphins select Cam Thomas 6'4" 331 lbs. from UNC as NT!

A 34 needs a good NT and Thomas can provide this for as long as he's in miami. Ferg might not be back andwe have no player who can step up and be a starter. Remember our Front seven was #1 against the run when Ferg was healthy and that was against the best the league had to offer. This move would complete our dline because we have everything else in place: the back-up NT, the full rotation of DEs. My second choice here would be Aaron Hernandez out of Florida as a TE. He would be a nice temporary fix to our passing game because he is like a mix between Dallas Clark and Gates. He stands at 6'3" and weighs 240, while running a projected 4.4- 4.5 (4.5 is more likely) and having amazing hands. He has the ability to be sent out wide or be used as a normal TE.

3rd Round: The Miami Dolphins select Pat Angerer 6'1" 235 lbs (just so you know that was ZT's playing weight) from Iowa as ILB

We need either more out of Crowder or a new guy at ILB. Crowder underperformed last year after a very solid 08, and this pick keeps us from trying to get a ILB next year when we should be going offense. Angerer is an amazing value in the third round and was simply amazing in his bowl game vs. GT. Another possible pick would be Micah Johnson out of UK (my homestate) who is currently recovering from a leg injury.

4th Round:The Miami Dolphins select John Jerry OG

Or Render OG out of VT. both are very big maulers that have started at least three years at their respective college's. They would add some very valueable depth at the Oline and we wouldn't see much drop off in production in our Oline. The reason Jerry is ahead of Render is because he is much better at pass blocking and has played OT in his career but won't be able to do so at the next level. He is just too big and his quickfeet are better suited as a OG in the NFL. Render is Immensely talented but is very overlooked by scouts. The few scouts who've seen him said he might go first round if e does real well at the combine.

Just for your Inoformation I have a disposition that makes me value Defense over Offense. Might be watching ZT and JT all these years.

Can anyone guess where I got the name for this fan post?
