heyy before i go on to give you guys my point of view on the dolphins crrent sitation i would like to wish everyone a safe and happy new year. Ok now to some observations i have made abot this team and how things got to the point where they are at right now. First off lets be clear cut and honest about the elephant in the room that im sure a lot of fans and experts alike can spot from a mile away, Chad henne is clearly not ready to be a starting quarterback for this team? will he have succes later on in his carrer?im not phsycic i cant tell you that.
Now with the obvious been stated one would venture to take a deeper look in to the situataion overall. If you really look closley going way back to training camp with this whole henne ordeal you will notice that their clearly has been some differing opinions inside the dolphins organization. The perfect example is that bill parcels the tuna was grasping for air and jumped in to the water before the ship collapsed completly as it did. so clearlyther were some disagreements their. some reorts say the actually did have something to do with henne and his development. i have no ideat if its true but its was put out in the open by various sources.
Now im not exactly for dan henning but i dont think it was all his fault i mean case and point in 2008 with a capable quterback excelent accuracy we made the playoffs right no one mentioned magoo. (Now with that been said i dont expect henne or any one to have peenies accuracy after all his the most accurate quarterback in the history of the nfl with a 66.2 completion percentage or somewhere along those lines.) but i do belive that a qb with good accuracy would have done the job. clearly ball location isnt hennes strongest asset and you need that in this offense.
As for sparano i firmly belive that his loyalty to henne might be not all but a huge part of what causes him his job because i do think that he has made his share of mistakes but at the same time he is a good foot ball coach and has his team playing hard. (this dosent mean that if their is someone better we shouldnt go after them cower or gruden) The only significant mistake i will put on sparano is that he sticking with henne for to long. i mean after the tennesee game when he did put pennington in i would have made a change before the jets game but im just a fan and yes i do think that thigpen deserved his shot atleast since the browns game. i know everyone is going to mention the bears game but you have to realize have the team was injured and t be honest he was getting marshall preety involved in that first half. wich leads me to marshalls comments this week towards henne stating that he didnt know if they were going to be able to work together next season and that he thinks their is times when henne should jst throw it up and catch it that was the reason we brought him in after all right? so honestly i dont think that the tern conservative only applies to henning the qb makes the throws example 1 minute left and u throw a check down to ronnie? back to thigpen i dont think he is the franchise but he does bring fire aggresivess andd confidence to the field and gives as a better chance to win iive also heard reports oing back to the offseason that pennie and thigpen were throwing to marshall but never henne i do belive thigpen has a better chemistry with marshall then henne. i dont think you can judge a qb on one game if that was the case we would also have to talk about the browns the patriots the ravens and you can even put in the jets game if you wanted to really be critical
Case and point if we had a decent quarterback it think we wouldnt be blaming the coaches or talking so much about coaching changes and we could have two or three more wins including the bills lions and browns at home even with thigpen. and i dobelive he deserved his chance to show what he can do i think personally he has more upside then henne leaving stats and records aside and just going to pure ability. So that leads to my question thinkof how many games were close and lost cause of henne?
