Ireland: The Next Name Out Of The Hat?

People are starting to say: "Ireland must go", "our problems all lead back to Ireland" etc. etc.

I am genuinely confused by aspects of this, and I would be interested to hear how people judge a GM.

As far as I can see, whoever has been responsible for drafting players, finding undrafted players, and signing free agents has done a good job. Probably a very good job.

Looking at any other team's draft for example, over the last three years, shows that, if it needed to be shown, there will be hits and misses. Looking at our drafts, we look to have done very well.

Interestingly though, I have been under the impression that Ireland hasn't entirely started the job yet, let alone be ready for the boot. With Bill Parcells having left before this season started, next years draft, and the whole offseason, appears to be Ireland's first at the helm, or at least with full control.

So, to me it looks like he's either done well, or has yet to produce evidence on which to be judged.

So, how do you see it? Do you look mostly at recruitment of players, the reputation of the club, or just the wins/losses?
