My opinion at the QB spot
Would anyone else want to see Kyle Orton head to Miami? Denver is testing Tebow out now, knows how much a marketing machine he is, and still has to deal with the looming Brady Quinn. At this point, we could probably pass along Ronnie Brown and either Henne or Thigpen and get back Orton and Lance Ball (who I think looked great in his few appearances). Mind you, this all would need to make sense for Denver, but I would think Orton being there is only going to cause heartburn for the fans, who know he can win and throw the damn ball.
I love the Phins, and agree, we shouldn't bash everything about this season. It's simply a case of
A. Being sick of cheering for Dan Carpenter to win games
B. Feeling uneasy when our QB drops back to pass (you watch even Fitzpatrick and you feel he is always going to make a decent play)
Other QB options I wouldn't mind: Kolb, McNabb (I know, I know...but I don't like the QBs in the Draft, albeit Stanzi from Iowa as a coin flip pick), Fitzpatrick, Shaun Hill, Dan Marino...
Thoughts?

QBs
Wait, you’re talking about bringing in D McNabb (terrible season, lost job to Grossman), Sean Hill (lost a few jobs to a few guys = back up), kyle orton (decent but not franchise), Kevin Kolb (jury is out, won’t leave philly), ryan fitzpatrick (no one wanted that’s why he’s in buffalo), vince young (headcase & can’t move the ball on titans as good as kerry collins) or draft someone (because that’s worked for us in the past few years)???
Others want Matt Flynn (after one good game) or Tyler Thigpen (CAN’T BEAT OUT HENNE).
Which is an upgrade? Let’s be serious. Let the kid play through this.

What we need is a franchise QB for the next 10 years. We will never find him shopping for him on other teams rosters. How many second round picks have we given up keeping the revolving door of QB’s going.
We either move up and take the Best QB out of the draft or improve the rest of the team and push that out to next year. Henne is not horrible but he is not a franchise QB given a running game and better play calling he will improve some.
Either way I think we sign a journeyman QB for depth.
Second round picks on QB's:
2009: Pat White
2008: Chad Henne
2007: John Beck
2006: Daunte Culpepper (could have had Brees for free)
2004: A.J. Feely (I am sure we could have packaged our 2 2nd’s to get another 1st rounder and get Aaron Rodgers instead……. hindsight is 20-20)
On the "get Jake Locker in the draft no matter what it takes" bandwagon
On your poll:
Chad Henne (Let’s give him time) – Keep him but aquire vet backup and draft QB
Donavan McNabb – No way
Shaun Hill – Serious? If so, see Henne point (backup)
Kyle Orton – If didn’t cost much or really anything, wouldn’t mind as a backup (if he would accept that)
Draft Someone – we have to draft a QB, even if it is a late rounder (prefer one of the 1st rounders but I was reading about Pat Devlin, he seems like an interesting prospect in the 3rd or 4th round)
Vince Young – Don’t need the headache
Kevin Kolb – AJ Feely V 2.0, no thank you
On the "get Jake Locker in the draft no matter what it takes" bandwagon
hmm
Orton or Mcnabb would end up starting if brought in. Draft someone is going to be and should be a priorty every year untill we have the guy we need. Kevin Kolb is a curiosity. If he lives up to what people say he is, he would be a better option then Henne, but what people believe and what actually appears on field can be two very different things. I would say no to both VY and Shaun Hill.
Chad Henne does not deserve the right to be starter next year, he needs to earn it against legitimate competition. Among a few other areas this is something the FO needs to make happen.

I'd kick the tires on McNabb, He is what he is....
yes he throws worm-burners, but he’s a veteran and has something to prove.

Yeah, but he didn't prove it in Washington....
Do we want him to not prove it here in Miami as well?

I'd take orton
But not mcnabb.

orton over mcnabb? i know he's a couple yrs removed frrom being "super-5", but....
i think ppl are selling mcnabb short, believe me, i lived and died with mcnabb every eagles game living in philly, he has accuracy issues to say the least, but the redskins are a mess and i wouldnt judge him just on this yr.

he's better than what we saw this yr in washington,
Mcnabb likes big targets (marshall), his best yr was when TO came to philly. 5 NFC championships, although he underperformed in a couple of them, (the arizona one was the defenses fault), is alot of big game experiance. I would give him a shot if we cant get young competition for Henne in the draft.

I rather DRAFT our own QB
we are going to have to throw away a season eventually with a new QB. Why not just start now? I mean isn’t there year meaningless already? How many 7-9 8-8 seasons do you want before you get fed up with the QB situation.
