New York Jets strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi was fined $25k and suspended for his tripping of Miami Dolphins CB Nolan Carroll but, Carolina Panthers DE Tyler Brayton was only fined $15k for his hit on Atlanta Falcons CB Chris Owens last week?? Is that fair?
Of course it's not but, what can you do, right? Don't get me wrong I was definitely in favor of Alosi's fine and suspension but, for an NFL player who makes more money than a strength and conditioning coach to be fined less money and not even suspended is just wrong. Now, I know the matter is apparently being reviewed further but, why wouldn't a mandatory suspension be issued? It's not like a precedent hadn't already be set, right?
