Like the Dolphins playoff hopes, the year is coming to an end. So it's only appropriate that I countdown some of the best Chad Henne excuses of 2010.

10.  It's the knee

Now I'm no doctor, but If his knee wasn't an issue when he lit it up in Oakland, then it damn sure wasn't an issue when he stunk it up against Cleveland and New York. Hell, I don't even think he's wearing a knee brace anymore.

9.  He's only started 26 games

This is funny cause it only took 1 start in MIami for some of you to determine that Tyler Thigpen sucks...

8. It's Dan Henning

That's fair, and this leads into the next excuse...

7. It's the system

Wasn't this the system Henne showed potential in last year? I don't think the system has anything to do with decision making (or lack thereof), accuracy, touch, etc. Anyway bringin in a new offensive coordinator means a new system, and a new system comes with a learning curve. And that learning cure is just another excuse to buy Henne more time. It's the excuse that keeps on giving.

6. He doesn't have a deep threat

I think this is a legit excuse cause we all know Henne has a big arm but he doesn't have a weapon that can get deep on a regular basis.

5. He doesn't have a running game/ Offensive line can't block

In a perfect world every QB would have a great running game, and a offensive line that gives them all day to throw. Unfortunately this is not the case. I agree the running game isn't where it should be, but Henne doesn't exactly help his O-line by holding on to the ball as long as he does sometimes. Hell, look at the Buffalo game, we stop the run and force Fitzpatrick to beat us with his arm...and he did. Or even Sam Bradford for example, as a rookie he makes the players around him better. He helps his O-line out by making quick decisions and getting the ball out right away. He also makes his receivers better because of his accuracy.

4. But Drew Brees...

Blah, blah, blah. Stop comparing Henne to elite QBs in the NFL. Those guys are proven and some of them have won Super Bowls. But most of all these guys have the intangibles that Henne is lacking right now.
