This is very interesting, and it seems pretty accurate to me. But it makes me ask the question, "If Tyler Thigpen is actually developing as a pocket passer (according to reports), just how really dangerous can he be?"

Information for this report was obtained from NFL scouts.
"Tyler Thigpen is a third-string quarterback who is being forced into the Dolphins' starting lineup because of injuries to Chad Pennington and Chad Henne. Drafted by the Vikings in the seventh round of the 2007 draft, Thigpen is on his third team.
Though raw, he is dangerous. His only previous extensive playing time came for the Chiefs after injuries to Brodie Croyle and Damon Huard, Thigpen started 11 games, losing 10 of them. He has a career passer rating of 73.6.
At 6 feet 1, 224 pounds, Thigpen is known for his athleticism. He can run and is effective in the Wildcat offense. He also has a strong arm, but is not very accurate deep.
The Dolphins are likely to run a lot of bootlegs, play action and screens with him. Thigpen can hurt a defense by dinking and dunking if he plays within the scheme. He sometimes tries to do too much and free-lances, causing negative plays.
The best way to defend against him is to keep him in the pocket and make him try to beat you with his arm."
