Oh hell no

Pat White 2.0 no thanks

Always late to the party

I'd take Newton over Locker or White any day

But it is still an atrocious pick.

MC Hammer was dissapointed when he found out that Kevin Durant could touch this.

Uh, I can't really say

If we stick to the wildcat he may be who we should have picked to be the trigger man

I just think it’s too hard, mentally, for a team to have two quarterbacks.

it’s pat white 2.0
and not only that Chad henne is a great Qb

Dan Henning is the sole reason the dolphins aren't a Superbowl Caliber team.

how is he PW2.0? He towers over PW and is more accurate with a bigger arm an better throwing motion.

lmfao @ Pat White 2.0

Cam Newton is Mike Vick 2.0 + 6 inches and 25 pounds. The dude is like the black Big Ben, but bigger, smarter. He’s huge, he can run, he can pass.

Dan Marino (13) and Steve Nash (13) will go down in history as being the greatest passers to never win the last game of the season.

by BravePhin on Nov 16, 2010 9:35 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah

No way Newton gets trucked by Taylor. The opposite would have been more likely.

MC Hammer was dissapointed when he found out that Kevin Durant could touch this.

Ingram lasts until pick 29?

He's one of the few Rbs I could see them picking early

He fits their style.

I like the newton pick

he’s big , mobile, got a good arm, and lots of speed. he also seems to love to WIN! but really love the idea of ingram here, with ronnie on shakey ground and ricky not getting any younger we need to consider grabbing him if we can.

by daytonadolfan on Nov 16, 2010 5:36 PM EST reply actions

I was actually thinking about this the other day

As a QB, I’d say hell no to Cam Newton but as a WR he’d be difficult to pass up. There wouldnt be a corner in the league that could tackle him in the open field. The route running and hands are a question mark but if he accepts the transition then we could have something good in Miami

I probably know Judo! How many of you can make the same boast?

Ummm.......NO!!!!

For starters, #17 is a pick we could trade down and nab a second rounder with. Even if the second rounder was pick #60, we should take the trade down to 28th and recoup a second rounder. The ONLY guy I would stand pat for is Brandon Harris (CB-The U). We will be hampered by the lack of a second round pick in a VERY shallow draft (expect fewer underclassmen to declare if a lockout becomes inevitable) that really isn’t loaded at any position. We need to upgrade our interior O-Line, acquire a starting calibber RB for when RB and/or RW departs, a burner of a WR to stretch the field and open up more room for Marshall and Bess, and should draft a #2 TE so we can make use of our two TE sets that we have run so successfully.
Even if we traded down to 28th (First round pick of team with pick #60 overall), just look at who is left:
Von Miller, LB, Texas A&M - Would be a great pass-rushing specialist opposite Cam Wake but a bit high for a guy who would likely only be a 3rd down LB for us (Koa Misi isn’t going anywhere).
Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama – Suddenly the loss of Ricky or Ronnie doesn’t look so bad. Would be a great pick for us but there are some real good RBs still to be had in round 2.
Stefen Wisniewski, C, Penn State (My Pick) – This kid may be the best Center prospect to come along for years. Great pedigree and work ethic would be great pickup for a team that hasn’t got gaping holes but several positions in need of upgrade. Bonus in that it would make Berger or Wisnieski a backup guard.

NY Jets = NFL's Chicago Cubs

There's a fine line between hopeful and desperate. Just look @ Jets fans.

WOW....

This must be a joke, Cam Newton? Don’t get me wrong the kid is a great College QB but that is all he will ever be, another Pat White. If Ingram is still there I highly doubt that sparano and this organization would pass, he is one of the best power backs since Ronnie and Ricky, and who better to coach up a kid with the potential to be like our two greats. Then second round I see another QB, if we dont acquire one in FA (VICK). And I feel like I’m the only one but we desperately need a true center, a kid that is bred for the position, with that I feel our run attack will come back, along with Ingram. And O ya don’t let me forget, GET OLD MAN HENNING THE DUCK OUT OF OUR TEAM

Did the oxygen go out of this room?

Cam Newton-Pat White comparisons are ridiculous.

The only two things they have in common are that they are both mobile

and something I won’t specify. For my posterity.

MC Hammer was dissapointed when he found out that Kevin Durant could touch this.

by Farorefox on Nov 16, 2010 9:52 PM EST up reply actions

Probably doesn’t have anything to do with it but I’ll tell you what, the two men are exact opposites besides that one unspecified trait that shall not be named. But hey, if some people get the two of them confused because of it….I can’t blame them, three letter names are hard to keep track of.

Otherise, the man is 6 feet 6 inches tall and 250 pounds. If he wants to steal Hartline’s laptop and extort Sparano for playing time, I’ll look the other way.

Dan Marino (13) and Steve Nash (13) will go down in history as being the greatest passers to never win the last game of the season.

omg

Pretty much every qb who “has the ability to run just as good as he can throw” has prettty much failed horribly.. thed only two qbs I can think of that can do that and be great is mcnabb and vick.. soooo helllllll no

Sarcasm?

Because you’d be wrong. Young, Elway, Moon, Culpepper, Tarkenton, Cunningham, Bobby Douglass, Staubach, Flutie.

Dan Marino (13) and Steve Nash (13) will go down in history as being the greatest passers to never win the last game of the season.

Vince and Steve have been successful

I’m assuming you meant Steve tho.
