The Miami Herald is reporting that Jake Long's injury to his shoulder will require surgery. But Long is going to try to play through the injury and have surgery in the offseason. According to their source, when Long eventually does undergo shoulder surgery, he will need 3 to 6 weeks to heal and another 3 to 6 weeks to rehab before getting back to full strength. So Long is likely going to at least try to play with the injury - according to this report. But even if he does play on Thursday night, there's no guarantee he makes it through the season. Jake is essentially a play away from having to shut it down for the rest of the season.
