Ever since we traded for Tyler Thigpen back in 2009 i considered him to be a pretty good quarterback. I remember watching the game he played against the Dolphins the season before and i thought to myself, now here is a mobile quarterback who can also throw, and i had seen him catch a touchdown too, so this quarterback was really an athlete.
Chad Henne took over when Pennington got hurt, and i agreed with the decision because he had been waiting and was the next in line. That last game of the season versus the Steelers when Thigpen came in i was so excited with his play, even thought we lost, i think he did good. Now we come to a point where Thigpen needs to be the guy, and to be honest with Marshall on his side, how can he do bad? Henne was the quarterback of the future, but not anymore. Thigpen has better mobility, and in my opinion more potential than Henne does. Henne never looks for Marshall, and when he does he doesn't give Marshall a real chance to catch the ball, he just lobs it out of bounds, and i can really see why Marshall is so frustrated. As a writer for the Sun-Sentinel wrote Thigpen will look for his number one target. he will try to get Marshall the ball, even if it means throwing it risky and just praying that Marshall will come down with the ball. Henne will never become more than what he is right now, Thigpen will, and with Marshall at his disposal i believe that Thigpen will be better, and has the potential to be the quarterback of the future.
