This is not going to be another article about woulda coulda shoulda's in relation to who should have been the Miami Dolphins Starting QB.
On Sunday November 14, 2010 Chad Pennington likely threw his final pass in the NFL.
It really is a sad way for anyone to have to go out. For Chad Pennington it has to be almost unbearable. After resurrecting his career with the Dolphins and becoming the only player to win comeback player of the year TWICE. He lost his job to Henne due to injury, then it was given back to him because his replacement wasn't cutting it (a debatable point, but that's how Sporano saw it) only to re injure the same shoulder in his first pass as the new starter.
Chad Pennington is as classy a human being as they come and I hope in the future the Dolphins employ him in a coaching and/or development position, because these young men in the NFL could learn something from this man's work ethic.
Real men don't want or need anyone's sympathy so to you Chad Pennington, for everything you did for this organization, after what we went through as a fan base leading up to your stabilizing appearance in 2008 I would like to look you in the eye and give you a firm nod. Thank you for helping to bring us back to the playoffs and respectability.
