"I think it's obvious right now we can't beat the great teams. We can't beat the good teams. … We just shoot ourselves in the foot when we're on a big stage." ~ Brandon Marshall
This has been a comment that did not sit well with me this week so I looked at just how true this statement actually was. Two and half years into Tony Sparano's tenure as the Miami Head Coach he has 22 wins. Out of those 22 wins only four have been against teams that finished with a better record than Miami that season. During our miracle 11 win season of 2008 none of our 11 wins came against a team better than 11-5. Last season, 3 wins came against teams that finished better than 7-9. Two of the wins were against the Jets and the other against the Partiots. So far this season only one of our 4 wins is against a team better than 4-4. For a coach as in to statistics as Sparano I would like to know his response to this. As a fan I find this to be the source of a lot of our frustration. The roster is better and yet the results on the field continue to leave a lot of us unsatisfied. If 2010 was supposed to be about "feeding the wolf" I feel like I am being fed a lot of BS instead of the well balanced meal I expected.
