Mark Sanchez has surprised me greatly this season by unexpectedly playing well and looking quite competent. After watching him in his first season I was chuckling to myself whenever I read that he was the future for the Jets.

However, I am not completely convinced, in spite of his play so far this season, due to to his showing in the last. I am ready to stand corrected at the end of the season if he proves to be better than I rate him.

My heartwarming theory is, that the combination of the effect of good press on his ego, and the addition of Santonio Holmes, will concince him that he's some great gunslinging quarterback and the interceptions will start to flood in.

So what do you think? Is he going to continue to flourish or are the wheels about to come off? I have an open mind towards homer voting on this one.
