I was one of the few who believed Vonate Davis would be a shutdown corner when we drafted him. There's no doubt in my mind that the majority of fans believed he would turn into a good corner for us. But I think it's funny how the people who believed Sean Smith was the better corner during the off-season, are all of a sudden calling Davis a "shutdown" corner and what not. It's cool that everyone believes in his shutdown abilities now but I hope it's not a case of everyone getting caught up in the moment. Jason Allen is a prime example of that.
Hell, everyone was questioning why Vonate wasn't on Braylon Edwards last Sunday. It's funny because just last year Vonate was in the same situation as Allen.
